Students have enough to worry about with school to have to worry about managing the management at Liberty Square. I have been telling my friends, cousins, and everybody I know to live somewhere else because I would hate for anyone to have to go through what I went through this year trying to deal with management. Liberty Square has probably lost about 40 potential customers because of the way they treated me this last semester. ...

I was very unhappy with my experience at Liberty Square. I rented from fall 10 through winter 11.

It is close to campus, but honestly are there any complexes that arent? It is way overpriced for the quality of rooms, parking, and management that you have to deal with. Paying $355 a month for a shared room with a bunk bed is no deal at all. I would recommend anyone I knew to live somewhere else. I rented from fall 10 through winter 11. ...

SImply a scam. for some reason this is 'the place to go' for sophomores. it's not. don't do it. management is a joke. they have no idea about how to actually help people, nor do they even remotely care. Parking is a mess - go barely over a line and it is an automatic boot. DON'T LIVE HERE!!! I rented from winter 11 through winter 11. ...

I have nothing good to say about LIberty Square except that it is very social, but that really is no reflection on the apartment complex. I would definitely avoid this place. I rented from fall 10 through winter 11.

absolutely horrific. Unless you like dealing with people who have no idea how to run a business and do not care to be humane, do not live here.

It would be a serious lapse in judgement to ever choose to live in Liberty Square. There are enough comments below mine to explain the reasons. Main reason Liberty Square is awful: MANAGEMENT! They are terribly rude and completely not helpful.

Before I moved in to Liberty Square, everyone warned me about management. I didn't think it would be a big deal because I never have problems with management. But clearly, it is a bigger deal than I thought. It is not acceptable for anyone to treat residents the way everyone was treated. I mean, the list goes on and on with all of the awful things they have done to people. I understand that management cannot solve every problem that happens in student housing. However, the management at Liberty Square has absolutely NO respect for their residents. They are surprisingly rude! I never thought I would hear adults sassing students and treating them so ridiculously. Whenever you go in to resolve an issue, you come away shaking your head, almost laughing at horribly you have just been treated. I know I am not the only one who holds this opinion. After trying to receive help from the management and having been treated absolutely horribly, I related my story to numerous people. I found that nobody was surprised because each of the 20+ people I told had similar stories. I truly don't think that hundreds (literally) of 20-22 year olds are clueless when it comes to comes to cleaning....pretty sure they just want to charge each person $35.00 when they check out....and $5.00 because my envelope didn't have a stamp? Seriously? are they aware that stamps only cost 44 cents? I wish I could convey how HORRIBLE the management is. I was always kind to them, paid rent on time, cleaned my apartment for hours, blah blah blah. DOESN'T MATTER! They will charge you for everything, and be SO RUDE while they are at it. DO NOT LIVE HERE! (Truthfully, the social aspect is not worth it.) BYU is social wherever you go. If you already have a contract, sell it. If you are considering living here, run away. fast. JUST DON'T! ...

I honestly don't ever fill these things out, but I think I would feel terrible if I didn't warn people about this place! Management does so many unethical, and even illegal things. It is such a scam! If you respect yourself at all, DO NOT LIVE HERE! (note that I was only there for one semester.) I rented from winter 11 through winter 11. ...

after my mother tried to get me an apartment while I was in the Middle East with no access to a computer or phone, management was extremely rude and refused to help her. After 10 minutes of being perfectly cordial and trying to solve the problem logically, the conversation went as follows: My mom informed them that she knew of at least 4 other mothers who had not been treated well, and that their reputation of bad customer service was proving to be correct. Their response was that they did not care about their reputation for bad customer service, and continued to be useless over the phone. While Liberty Square is a very sociable place, the way you are treated is simply not worth it. Go make friends somewhere else. I rented from winter 11 through winter 11. ...

Simply put, management here is very bad. It is a shame with the BYU business school so close. They all could greatly benefit from a few business ethics courses. Not only will the management try their best to take money in fines, but they will give you attitude. DO NOT, DO NOT BE ANOTHER PERSON FOR THEM TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF! The Management writes some of the reviews on this site to boost their ratings, but in truth management is awful. Don't live here. Don't send your children to live here. There are plenty of other nice apartments in Provo to live, and they wont take advantage of their residents. I rented from fall 10 through winter 11. ...

I have never been treated more horribly by anyone in a supposedly "professional" setting. Management will not fix your problems if they can help it, and if they do, they will be slow and rude and make you bend over backwards to get anything accomplished. My apartment had mold ALL over the walls in numerous rooms, mysterious stains on the carpet, a broken heater, as well as other problems. These issues I absolutely could have handled had management not been so horrific even to the point of shocking attitudes and behavior when dealing with parents. Upon talking to others, I found that my situation was not unique. Everyone has a similar story. It would be a huge mistake to consider living at Liberty Square. I rented from winter 11 through winter 11. ...

The very first thing I would like to say is, MANAGEMENT IS A JOKE! If you want to be charged fees for just about everything, this is a great place to live. I know this sounds harsh, but honestly, the people running this place have no idea how to run a business. They know that there will always be new kids to take advantage of, so they really run things based on that. I have no complaints really about the apartments, which are fine, but the management is so bad that I would never give a positive review. The workers have trouble handling basically any question or problem that comes up. I never take the time to write reviews on anything, but I felt it was worth warning people thinking of living here. I would HIGHLY urge you to find somewhere else, there are many places that are just as close and fun that actually run things correctly. I rented from winter 11 through summer 11. ...
