Don’t recommend unless you want to get scammed and have raw sewage leaking into your apartment. The walls are paper thin and you can hear rats running through the walls! I wish I wouldn’t have signed a lease here because now I’m stuck living here.

Petty management and wayyy overpriced apartments. Too expensive to not even have in-unit washer & dryers and the laundry facilities are not well kept. Machines are not working a lot of the time. They increased rent also by $500 for 2023.

Way too expensive. Things are constantly breaking down. During the winter, the boiler went out twice, leaving everyone in the building freezing for 2 consecutive weekends because there was no maintenance to fix it until Monday. They inconvenienced everyone and never offered some money off from rent, compensation, etc. Also, the refrigerator in my apartment broke and one of my roommates told the people in the office and they let our food rot for 4 days. They made us wait until Monday of the next week to give us a new one. Ridiculous. I would not live here ever again. But, they are nice sized apartments. I rented from fall 10 through fall 11. ...

The highrise is expensive but well kept. The other buildings - BEWARE. Not only are the landlords fake, rude, and impossible, but the buildings themselves are complete dumps. It looks great when they show it to you, but once you move in, beware. "Charming" and "historic" quickly becomes "Dumpy" and a "Nightmare". You will hear dogs barking all night, babies crying, they will section off part of the "landscaping" for a family of 4 that will trash the place with toys and obnoxious lawn trash, you will probably have bugs, cheap carpeting, and security issues. Need something from them? Don't even bother asking. They will not fix anything that might go wrong in your unit. The "laundry room" is more like a horror movie set. Only one of the two 1950 washers and dryers has worked since OCTOBER. Be ready to fork up 2.50 a load just for your clothes to still be wet when you take them out. Not to mention the price of 2 bedrooms is anywhere from 1200 to 1400 dollars. Are you kidding me? Sure you are near the lake, but you will only remember this when you are outside, as only THREE units have a lake view. For 1400 we could've avoided the eye sore that is this "apartment" complex and lived in PEACE. You will not be able to leave during office hours because they will be there, giving you dirty looks just for breathing. No need to wonder why they post flyers everywhere on campus and constantly have a desperate "PLEASE RENT" sign at the end of the block, rain or shine. A registered sex offender is also one of their lovely tenants next door - and that building has even MORE problems and is an even bigger eyesore. Save yourselves the time, energy, and BS. And you thought Steve Brown and JSM were bad! They are absolutely PERFECT landlords compared to these SLUMLORDS I rented from fall '07 through spring '08. ...
