When my roommates and I first heard about the Tamarac Apartments, we thought there had to be a catch. It was only a 4-minute walk to the central campus, plenty of bus stops around the area for commuting back home, or to work when needed, and the grocery store was not too far away either. One thing we felt would become a problem eventually was the noise because the apartment building is right on Greek Row at UW on 17th Ave. However, after moving in, we haven't heard a lot of the partying that is still going on. Barely any noise at night, so not hard to sleep if you are a light sleeper. But we are lucky enough to have a corner apartment, somewhat away from the Greek Row. The only thing for us noise-wise to be wary of is the basketball court and the garbage truck noise in the morning to afternoon times. Otherwise, this place is great! Around more than 900 square feet for a very good price. Easy and short commute to campus when we have in-person classes. Very big and spacious 3 bedrooms all more than 100 sq ft. Also lots of closets for storage space in the common areas and spacious walk-in closets in the bedrooms. ...
