Management is very unfriendly and will nickel and dime you for everything! It was January and someone was outside using a waterspout that went through my apartment. Well being winter of course the pipe froze and as he was washing his car my apartment was flooding. I came back to an apartment fully flooded and was in shock that they would allow people to use the water at that time of the year. As stupid as this individual was I realize that things happen but management doesn't like to think so and sure doesn't stand behind their product. They made me pay for the entire month's rent even though I was unable to live in my apartment for two weeks and forced to sleep on the couchs of my friends. I know renter's insurance is for this but there is also a thing called customer service and standing behind your product, which they fail to understand. This was obviously a huge inconvenience and it should have been a warning flag. However, I made the mistake of moving to another apartment in the new updated condominium complex. What a mistake! When you check out you better be Martha Stewart because they will knock you for everything possible. You receive a laundry list of what needs to be clean and you even have to clean the outside of your windows; it doesn't matter if you are on the second floor! Anyways after spending an entire day going through the entire apartment I thought I was looking good...oh no! They charged me $100 for two black spots in the oven. Give me a break! They said it was really only $25 but if they have to even enter the apartment for any type of work it is a mandatory $75 dollars on top of that. The worst part was while I went through my walk through she said it looked good and that I shouldn't owe them anything. She said nothing about the oven! Needless to say it was a shock when I finally received my deposit minus $100. When I complained to management and said I would never recommend this place again the response I received was, β€œWhy you DOGGING on us?” Give me a break! As I made the move into the new condos that are on the other side of the complex they also made me pay another $30 for an application fee even though I had already lived there and was never late on rent and basically your ideal tenant. Very frustrating. When I finally made it into my new place I realized that parking in the new complex is a major issue and they ended up giving me a reserved spot that is conveniently a handicapped spot. I was told don’t worry about it this is so they meet their required quota but not to worry it is still my spot. Well tell that to every handicapped driver that sees it and then parks in my spot when I'm not here. This makes it really nice when I come home and my spot is taken and I'm forced to park in the gravel lot at the end of the complex with the rest of the overflow of cars. Also while unloading my moving truck I managed to forget to drop off my rent and was a total of 6 hours pass the deadline and they charged me $67! They said its 10% of your rent and its in the contract so too bad if you are late by hours and your check will be processed the same time as the others. It doesn't matter if you have been loyal to them, went through a flood in your apartment, paid their ridiculous fees and recommended four people to this apartment complex they don't care. Well no longer will I endorse this place. Oh and if you haven't been here before be prepared for the worst smell imaginable because they are conveniently located across the river from a dog burning plant and a railroad yard. Its just great...YEAH RIGHT! I rented from fall '05 through spring '07. ...
