While living in this hell hole I found that everything I was told before signing the paperwork was false. I was told by the resident manager that the units are quiet and the walls are virtually sound proof, this was obviously a lie. Not only are the
walls so thin that I could hear my neighbor coughing throughout the night, but I also was frequently woke up by other residents coming home at all hours. I never experienced a decent shower during my year lease there, the water was always either burning hot or ice cold. I was harrassed about my rent not being recieved and or my checks bouncing, even after they had cleared my bank account. The resident manager even asked to see my bank statement to prove that they had cleared. But quickly decided that wasn't necessary after I had asked to see the bounced check first. The final straw was when I misunderstood the guest policy (by the ways, your only allowed a guest at YOUR residence 14 days out of the year.), the property manager was promt to call me and leave me a nasty message insulting my intelligence and threatening to make it impossible for me to rent any where else in the Spokane area (ego-maniac maybe'). And oops, she conveinetly forgot to leave me a number to return her call. When trying to vacate the complex, I was surprised with more hidden fees that had not been heard of until I was trying to get out. I paid them though, the extra hundreds of dollars was worth not having to deal with the incompetent, pompous managment at The Roosevelt Apartments.
I rented from winter '07 through winter '08.
