The interior of our unit is in good condition and satisfactory (have only needed a few normal maintenance repairs), but the exterior of the complex in general is not very pleasing. For instance, there are many units in which one can see that the horizontal blinds are either not hung properly or have been broken. Additionally, there are several units with broken window glass and/or shredded screens (ex: there is cardboard closing holes). Furthermore, there are many residents who spit large amounts of phlegm all over the place, especially in hallway passages and in front of apartment entrance doors) and throw their cigarette butts in anything but a proper container. Dogs urinate and defecate anywhere they please and their owners frequently fail to pick up after their pets. Lastly, frequently it can be seen that many residents leave trash bags on their patios/decks for several days before taking them to a dumpster. Additionally, while I understand that the office manager has the large task of overseeing several complexes and is therefore frequently unavailable because she is at another complex, I do not understand why the staff that is present is not empowered to answer specific questions and handle concerns. While the staff is always nice, we are usually told that the office manager is the one who can do something/answer a question and that she "should be in tomorrow". Many people have to work and it is not convenient to always have to "come back tomorrow". Furthermore, we have been in the office and asked the staff member that was there to leave a message for the manager to call us when she is in and the request was met with resistance. If the manager is not going to be at the complex and the staff that is there can't do anything for residents, then the least those staff members could do would be to take and pass on a message for the manager. Please consider employing more staff members and empowering them all with the ability to remedy situations that may arise. Additionally, the office staff will schedule maintenance checks in which they need to enter the apartment (at least one "yearly" check and one at the request of the financing lender), which isn't a problem. But, several times these were scheduled during a holiday weekend which I find to be incredibly rude and inconsiderate (for instance, during the most recent one they provided notification on Wednesday afternoon, 11/21/2012, that they would be entering apartments on Friday, 11/23/2012 - - this is during the day after Thanksgiving, when people are either going to be away or have lots going on already and don't want to be bothered). Furthermore, while I did have a maintenance issue in the past year, in the story below I had not made any maintenance requests. INCIDENT: A person knocked on my door and since I wasn't expecting anyone, I did not open it but instead loudly and clearly asked the person to identify themselves. They did not answer and within a few seconds proceeded to knock again. Again, I loudly and clearly asked them who they were - they did not answer and instead knocked a third time. This time I looked through the peep hole and could see that it was a maintenance person so I opened the door a crack and asked them to identify themselves - they mumbled "maintenance", looked up at the number on the door and the paper in their hand, and mumbled "sorry wrong one". Lastly, solicitors are allowed to leave their advertising materials (they come almost daily) which is an annoyance and the materials frequently fall onto the ground and clutter the facilities. ...

I'm living here in Cherry Creek now as well. We've only been here about 2 months, but already we are having most of the same issues. Our very first problem was just getting the place! I was told the 15th of Sep was when my apartment would be ready, and still...when I had the moving truck and everything, comes to find out some stupid idiot gave MY apartment number to someone else!! I had to cancel everything and wait until the 21st!!!!!! I made new arrangements, had to stop by numerous times...which is terrible since we used to live an hour and a half away. We moved in, and there was no stove or dishwasher! They weren't even plugged in! Our windows still don't open, had to have them repair the blinds THEY broke when they were showing us the place, our bathtub has mold around it and I'm scared to even let my daughter take a shower. I have called to have things repaired, since most of this was screwed up since before we even moved in...and still am waiting on that. We live near the front office, and it's only worse up here. We have some group of little snots that like to pee on my front door, damage my property and spray paint the windows/doors. I know there is an apartment rule to make sure no one hangs out in the hallways, but nothing has been done for almost a full 2 months. I was told to call their "security" but the security does NOTHING! Right now I am having issues with the little spanish punks that live across the way from me. From the very first day we moved in, we found out that very night they broke my welcome turtle!! (It's a turtle that holds a sign saying welcome) They were chucking the pieces against my apartment wall! Then they spray-painted my door, which still hasn't been fixed. Now they constantly hang outside my front door and I can NEVER get outside of MY OWN APARTMENT! To top it all off, I can't even yell at these kid's mom because she's never home! This is one of the worst places I've lived in ever. Aside from constantly making sure those brats aren't destroying anything else of mine, the lack of repairs, and the office never helping/answering their phone, this place is small and totally not worth it with all of these problems. I rented from fall '07 through summer '08. ...
