I live in the Barnett Basement, which is part of Foxwood. The apartment has 3 private bedrooms and a washer/dryer, which is nice. Parking in the lot is a problem and I often have to park on the street. The managers are great and they are quick to order repairs. I'm leaving because they are now requiring a full year contract and I don't want to pay for Sp/Su. I rented from winter 2015 through winter 2016. ...

There isn't much of a social life. It's basically on campus though, which is great! The price is much too high for what you're getting. Management is generally helpful and responsive, but if you have a request that requires help from management, expect them to not get back to you any time soon until you've followed up 2 times. Kind of pathetic and annoying, but overall, Foxwood was alright. I rented from fall 10 through winter 11. ...

Not brand new but still nice and a great location and ward. Free underground parking and the landlord is really nice. The price would be a really good deal except they make you sign a year contract and the price is the same F/W and S/S.

They have a reserved parking stall for every person and several vistor parking spots, which is great. I don't know why people are saying the management is hard to work with. They get on repairs within a day or two and the online request/payment system makes it easy. If someone complained over not being able to work with them it must be because of some other issues. I had to pay rent late once because I didn't get paid and I talked to them beforehand so they waived all the late rent fees. The complaints over the internet aren't something they were responsible for. It worked fine during the day. It's only when people came home and started streaming excessive amounts that it slowed down. They had to cap the streamer's internet or the rest of us couldn't do our homework. They have Google Fiber now so you don't have to worry about it. I even heard because of the head LRE people we are the first non-Veracity complex to get it. The condos are not perfect, but they're pretty good for something so close to campus. Maybe the management just improved too. Actual Residency Dates: Fall 2013-Fall 2014 I rented from fall 10 through fall 11. ...

Foxwood is a terrible place to stay. The quality of the housing I am in is in poor condition. To the management's credit, they made good on their word to send people to clean the carpets and fix the walls, but these were band-aid patches to problems that go much deeper. The carpet should be torn up and replaced, and the foundation is not good. Attempting to terminate my contract (which didn't work, understandably--it's still a livable place), the management tried to talk over me rather than working with me. The price is far too high for the horrible quality of this hole in the ground. The parking is absolutely atrocious, requiring me to sometimes park one or two blocks away because everything is full. A sticker is needed in order to park within certain spots, but nothing is assigned, meaning you get screwed often and everything is full. The site to "pay online" continuously pisses me off because it goes back and forth between deciding whether or not to allow you to pay online. Sometimes the button to pay online is there, and sometimes it is not. The internet is some of the worst connection I've ever seen in my life. Constantly requiring you to sign in again after 3 to 4 hours, and having extremely slow speeds and high latency (though, they are getting Google Fiber, so this will be a non-issue soon). Another issue is the wiring for this place is atrocious. The ethernet port just hangs from the wall with its wiring exposed. The furniture is very worn and needs to be replaced. This is the Poolhouse Basement. I've rented from 2013 to 2014 (this site didn't let me pick anything after 2011), and I will never rent with Legends Realty again. They suck. I rented from fall 10 through winter 11. ...

I will be fair in my rating of Foxwood Condo's. They do have good things going for them. Parking is great, location is really wonderful, and I do like the actual apartments. Has dryer, washer, microwave (albeit old), oven and dishwasher. There are a few things I will rate poorly for. Carpets; horrible. Beds; too small (we're not dwarfs, I'm 6' and do not fit on my bed, by a good foot. Concrete is softer than the mattresses we sleep on) Only 1 desk per room, one for my roommate, and I use the kitchen table. A crime? No. But we are students at BYU... we get enough homework to warrant a desk per person. In light of these things, rent is too high. Especially with the competition soon to be surrounding it. My biggest qualm? http://foxwoodrentals.com/ Three words blaze across the white background: Quality Trust Flexibility All of these things are lies. The closest they get to telling the truth is Quality, but when you look at places like the Village or some of the newer places, even that is untrue. I do not trust the owners. Jules is a saint, but she carries out orders from the never seen, never heard landlord/lady. Complications arise, and they are unforgiving, and unchanging. Their word is law. And of course, Foxwood is the least flexible place I've ever stayed. One small example: coming back from the East Coast after Christmas break, my flight was scheduled for late January 5th, the day rent was due. I asked if it was possible for me to pay the next day, the sixth. Technically, it wouldn't matter to them as they would not be able to cash the check in that evening anyway. But for some reason they insisted we pay before the fifth or be fined. Garbage. We have the technology for doctors to be able to perform surgery over the internet, and Foxwood still can't make a website on which we can pay rent? J.J. I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...

The internet is wretched and management is slow to reply to ANYTHING. the ward was fun and the neighbors were okay, but you can hear almost anything through the walls and the carpets look like they have not been cleaned since the seventies. the parking stalls were small and people get booted no excuses within minutes of the time. I rented from fall 10 through winter 11. ...

Management is terrible at communicating with residents. I have called and sent emails at least ten times and haven't received a response ONCE. Bad office hours for the apartment/condo office. If you EVER want to have internet, don't move here. It hasn't worked correctly the whole time we've been here, they also put a cap on your internet usage if you watch movies or listen to streaming music using wifi. Not that it's ever working long enough to use it. I rented from winter 11 through summer 11. ...

The management was extremely disrespectful to me when I attempted to clarify a situation, and they made all sorts of accusations about where I lived in the apartment and my responsibility ethic. I had concrete proof against their accusations in all cases, but they refused to acknowledge that they had made a mistake and apologize for being so disrespectful to me. The apartments are large and in decent condition, but they're not worth the money that they charge for them. Additionally, the plumbing is pretty sketchy and floods regularly. It's not a terrible place to live, but knowing what I know now about the temperament of the management, I would have never chosen to live here. As it is, I'm very excited to move out. I highly recommend living elsewhere. ...

The landlords are horrible with cleaning checks. They're unreasonably picky. The price is way too expensive for a shared room. The beds are old, heavy, plastic-coated things that are extremely uncomfortable. Utility payments are $40 per month, regardless of actual usage. Couches are old and ugly. Carpets are dirty and need to be replaced. The people are nice and a lot of fun. Live at Canterwood instead. Same Ward, better apartments. I rented from winter '08 through winter '08. ...

You pay too much for a shared room in an average sized apartment. The plumbing is not up to par, there have been several water pipe leaks in both guys and girls condos. There have been two leaks in my apartment alone since i have lived here. The ward is great and social. I rented from fall '06 through winter '08. ...
