Management is very disorganized. It was recently changed in December of 2019 and it has been the worst. The manager has made it clear that the residents and their concerns are not a priority. He takes up to a week to get back to you, whether it be via email, text, or phone. He has stated that he does not work on Saturdays or Sundays, and only has office hours Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday afternoons as he manages 2 other properties and goes to school full-time. If you are looking for management that cares about its residents I would not recommend FDL. I rented from summer 2018 through spring 2020. ...

This is the most horrible place I have ever lived. I am happy to share their last calculation in which they didn't get any deposit back to me. Their cleaning checkers have Obsession and I also am happy to share their cleaning sheet in which they ask you to move the heavy fridge and clean the floor under that. No matter how you try to be clean, they like to charge you for nonsense reasons. I am hoping if you make a mistake and rent a room in this place first of all don't rent apartment #303, because as the manager said the owner is lawyer and he never loses any fight, which means you are always the looser no matter what the fair is. and second, I hope you have roommates whom don't steal your stuff at the end because the manager doesn't interfere if you loose something or if they make noise at 2am in the morning or if they don't take their garbage out or keep the sink dirty, the manager only cares about their stuff and they observe you days and nights to figure out something for charging you. third, I recommend you to take picture of every part of the apartment to make sure when you move out you have enough evidence, because they will charge you for what you have no idea about. any way, I am sorry for you if you are living in this apartment under pressure and high charges and rents. The best contact me if you need more information: el_vaziripour@yahoo.com I rented from winter '00 through spring '01. ...

Loved living at Fleur-de-Lis. Lived there in 2014. The apartments are super nice. You have huge closets and your own vanity and washer and dryer in the apartment. The ward is great! I would have kept living there if I hadn't graduated. I read the previous review and while there are cleaning checks and you do have to clean I didn't think they were anything like the previous girl mentioned. The management is super nice and maintenance has always been taken care of quickly! ...

I rented in 2014, and this apartment lady lady is the worst. Seriously. I got none of my deposit back. None. They charged us to refurbish a 50 dollar table for 200 dollars. They charged us 150 to do the carpets. She was unhelpful, rude, and mean. Cleaning checks were the worst- no one ever past. And good luck to anyone trying to find your apartment. It's so far away from every thing. I had a bug infestation in my room and they did nothing to help me. The houses are old, but they will blame you for that at every cleaning check or apartment check. I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...

I loved living here so much that I returned the following school year. The ward was amazing and I really loved having a nice apartment that didn't make me feel like I was paying an arm and a leg for a crap hole like the rest of the apartment complexes around byu. The best part is that they offer automatic bill pay. That was really nice. I also liked that it was close to the canyon which made it convenient to go camping or drive up and have a bonfire. I rented from winter 10 through summer 11. ...

Fleur de Lis is terrible. The parking garage is a full story underground, rather than half a story like most places, so the ramp is really steep and very dangerous when icy. Also, the deposit is $540 dollars, $50 of which is a carpet cleaning fee that isn't actually used to clean carpets. Also, each month the tenants are subjected to a cleaning check where professional cleaners are hired to make sure there isn't a speck of dust anywhere. It takes more than 6 hours each month to make the apartment look like it isn't live in to pass the inspections (and that's if you're lucky enough to live in a full apartment so you only have to clean 1/4 of it.) If you fail, you pay them $10 dollars to come back and recheck in 3 days. If you fail again, they charge $30 an hour for professionals to come clean for you. You are also required to have your rent taken out from your account automatically each month and must have a backup credit card on file that they can charge if there isn't enough money in the account. There are great things about this place, but clean checks outweigh them all. I rented from winter 11 through fall 11. ...

I also noticed a huge change for the worse in the management between Fall and Winter of last year, and the new management have a lot to change before I would ever be willing to deal with them again. Aside from the awful management, which is hopefully not permanent, fleur de lis are beautiful apartments, but they are way too expensive for how far away they are from campus. Because they are so far away, there were not that many BYU students, and not even that many students in there. It is also really far away from the other buildings in the ward, so the social life is hurt a lot by that, and they tack on carpet cleaning payments when you move out, whether or not they had already been paid that year, which is a tad dishonest. I was not particularly impressed, and moved out after only a semester as quickly as I could. I rented from winter 11 through winter 11. ...

When I first moved in to Fleur De Lis, I would have easily put a 5 on "Landlord"... although in December Fleur De Lis switched its management. The current management is unresponsive and let off a feeling of "I just don't care." I had my A/C broken for a week and a half this summer, with my apartment reaching 83 degrees. It took a whole week and multiple voicemails/emails to finally get the management to respond and fix the problem. When you are inquiring about renting they are super quick to respond, but with issues they take their time, sometimes without responding at all. I think that this management has the potential to be good if they tried harder. The management is the only reason I am leaving. I rented from summer 10 through summer 11. ...

Pros: new, single rooms, personal vanities. I loved having my own space in a newer complex. The kitchen is a great size. The manager was super nice and really helpful in getting me the contract for the length I needed. Cons: Far from campus. I had a bike, and they keep the bike racks underground, which makes getting your bike in and out really difficult. It was a little pricey; I think they've lowered it since I lived there since they weren't getting enough tenants. The cleaning check ladies were kind of rude. It also took 2 months to get my deposit back. I couldn't find any contact information for the landlord; you have to go through the manager. I didn't fit in with anyone in my ward; a lot of the girls were a little high maintenance. I guess living in a pricier complex comes with a social cost. I rented from fall '09 through spring 10. ...

These are such nice apartments! I love that I had my own mirror/sink/vanity! That was great! Underground parking is awesome, too- especially because you get a garage door opener! It's really secure. Not the most social place, though... I rented from fall '05 through fall '06. ...

I'd live here again if it weren't for the monthly cleaning checks--- 1st Saturday of every month at 8:30 AM!!! And the cleaning check ladies are RUDE. You can rent F/W only for a little bit more money. I'd recommend the D room at the front of each apartment-- less noise and it's a bit larger. ...
