Loved the house and ward. Great landlords/fixed everything or bought new. Really can't say enough about the ward. Having a backyard was the bomb, also a place to store my bike. What I paid was a deal for all the space and closets I had. I rented from fall 2012 through fall 2013. ...

Never, ever rent from goldengate property management. ANY house they have, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. The landlords are SO unfair and you LOSE A LOT OF MONEY. The houses are nice, seem fun, but they are OLD and with that comes a lot of problems. I am so dissatisfied with my experience, never ever sign with them. ...

It doesn't take much (upon reading the reviews) to see how landlords treat their tenets and then getting on "here" to rectify their problem. Very Poor treatment! Just reading the "sales pitch" reviews makes me want to sta as far away as possible. Thank you tenants for your contribution to the report. ...

Most amazing place I have lived at BYU. Huge house and private space for a reasonable price . Best ward, great yard, awesome management. If anything broke, it was fixed in hours not days. I enjoyed everything about my experience at the White House including receiving my entire deposit back! Wish I hadn't graduated. I rented from spring '10 through winter '11. ...

I can promise you the positive comments about this house are not accurate and are probably fake or falsified by the landlords themselves. I will never work with these people as my landlords again, they are awful slimy people. They took half of my $400 deposit for things I never did, and for things that just needed repair because the house is old! They refuse to talk to you in person if you have a problem or concern and ask that you send them an email so Kim can send you a passive aggressive email that will attack you and try and blame you for everything. The house was honestly awesome and I loved it but it was not worth having to deal with the landlords. DO NOT LIVE HERE OR ANYWHERE WHERE THE MONEYS ARE THE LANDLORDS!!! I have never had such a bad experience with landlords as I did with this house. I felt harassed by the landlords constantly. Do yourself the favor by not living here. ...

I loved living here. Management and maintenance is the bet your could ever hope for. That alone makes the place worth moving into. Loved that we all had our own rooms and tons of space besides. The ward is by far the best BYU ward ever! You won't want or need to ward hop which was nice. Parking was great! Didn't really need a car being only 2 blocks from campus but glad I had a spot to store it. I would HIGHLY recommend living here. ...

I loved having my own room along with all my roommates. Parking was better than anywhere else I've lived in Provo (won't have to park a block away. Large house in a great location next to the Village. The kitchen was a great size, there were actually two. Management was awesome--they even let us plant a garden. Glad there were cleaning inspections, they often helped us clean and let us clean while doing the checks so we didn't have charges--threw pizza parties when everyone passed which we always did. Passed final inspection and got all our deposits back, we didn't break anything :) Management was always responsive with our maintenance requests within a few hours every time--never happened where we lived before! The ward was friendly and outgoing--not to young and we met in a chapel, which was nice. We overall had a great experience and were actually sad to leave when we graduated. My roommates and I loved living in the White House and would recommend it to anyone! ...

The landlords are crazy. I think they posted comments on here to make themselves sound good. They make you pay for anything that broke and call it "negligence" when really the house is just really old and needs average repairs. But don't worry, they'll take it out of your $400 deposit for you. Loved the house, ward was ok, parking was great, but save yourself the hassle and the money (330-390 a month plus utilities that got up to 55 dollars in the winter for 8 people each.... once again, an old house). It's not worth it. And the landlords hackle you constantly. Look somewhere else! I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...

I loved living here better than any other place I have lived. I think it is by far the best house I've seen near BYU! So much space and it's all well kept up. The ward is really social and down to earth! The landlord tries to screen all of the girls that live in the house which I really appreciated. The place is darling and the yard amazing. I thought the Landlords were the greatest! You should definitely live here if you can! It was full when I tried to get a contract with friends so I bought a contract when I saw it listed from a girl leaving on a mission. LOVED it! ...

Can't say enough about the house, ward and landlords. Most incredible house in Provo with tons of upgrades, space (including closet which was sooooo important to me). Hotel California guys next door made it even more fun. So glad I got a contract as so many were fighting for this house! ...

Best looking and kept up home I've ever lived in. Landlords really cared and got to maintenance faster than other landlords I've had--same day usually! 8 private rooms which made it extra nice for all of us. More parking than the Village next door and bike storage too which I needed. ...

I really enjoyed staying here over the summer. Also, what has been said about the Landlord is untrue in my experience. I'm actually still living in one of their houses right now. They are very reasonable. Because I misunderstood the price when I agreed to sign the contract for this house they understood my negotiated with me so my rent was less than it was originally supposed to be. They do so much work on these houses and give the tenants a lot of freedom. I'm surprised at how much they maintenance they do and damages they repair without charging tenants. Any other BYU housing would charge like crazy. Anything they do charge is fair (like if you damaged property). Its such a big house with a HUGE kitchen and it is taken care of very well unlike most of the other college housing in Provo. These are really some of the most honest and easy to work with landlords I've ever dealt with. I lived with some of these girls who wrote the terrible reviews, and lets just say that the Landlord wasn't really the crazy one in this situation... ...

This is the landlord. Anyone knows there are two sides to every story. We wish there were a "rate my tenant.com"!

First off, my friends and I were SO excited to live here, There was so much space it is a decent house with tons of room. And then...we got to find out how crazy the landlords truly are. They would always just show up, they were not understanding with anything at all. We got charged random fees and then told that as long as we didn't complain about it then they wouldn't bring in legal action. We had a futon downstairs that we liked to lay down and study on with blankets and such, one day kim was in the house...again without us knowing and said that we all owed $50 dollars because someone had been spending the night on the futon, she knew this because it was layed down with blankets and there was a suitcase next to it. Ummm, what? that suitcase was a sewing machine case and I didn't realise that because a blanket is on a couch meant that someone had to be sleeping over. She's crazy. Don't be caught up by the house, it isn't worth dealing with the landlords. I lived here Fall '11 through to the beginning of '12 ...

Ditto to everything that's been said. Seriously, do not rent from these people. The comment about them being dishonest and condescending and passive aggressive and invasive is totally true. To your face, they're nothing but "concerned, generous landlords", but they're vague and nondescript about random things they charge you for, they accuse you of things you haven't done (always via email, very condescendingly and rudely), they make up "BYU housing" rules that don't actually exist (we called BYU off-campus housing to verify) and they show up unannounced ALL the time outside of business hours-- which, according to their OWN lease, is not permitted. It's ridiculous. It's even more frustrating to know that he's a professor at BYU in the business school. I mean come on...show some courtesy and honesty. We never really saw him that much, but his wife was a nightmare. This is the website to their properties: eliteestates4u.com. Don't rent from them. ...

I agree with the comment below. The pricing was very high and the landlords were honestly terrible. I felt like all they cared about was my money.
