The apartments are old. Things that can go through the managers get fixed pretty quickly. Anything that goes through their contractor takes an eternity. When I moved in, it was a great deal. However, they've been raising their rent to the point that it's ridiculous. $325 for a shared room in an apartment with a window unit air conditioner, shared vacuums (as in shared across the entire complex), and access to coin-op laundry machines that are always broken is too much when you have places elsewhere in Provo that offer more amenities and better apartments for a comparable price. Most of the residents are shy STEM majors, so the ward is full of really good people who don't talk to anyone. I rented from fall 2016 through winter 2019. ...

Plenty of parking for those with a parking pass. Apartments are old.... But if your like me and only sleep and eat in your apartment then you won't notice it much. The onsite managers are great! They tend to fix things fast. Also you only pay for Electric and the internet is pretty fast. The ward is awesome here! It used to be that the Monson was split between two different wards. But they rearranged the wards and now the whole building is in one ward. Overall, Monson is a pretty decent place to live. I rented from fall 2015 through winter 2016. ...

Although this is an older building the management really makes sure that repairs are done quickly. Whenever a repair was needed it was done faster then any other rental I have lived at. The rent is a great deal as we only had to pay for electricity so if you are on a budget this is a great deal! They give you a parking permit to be sure you have a place to park! I loved being close to campus and the Provo City Library. It was great having an onsite manager too so we never felt ignored. I rented from fall 2015 through spring 2016. ...

Management is a bitch. Don't live here. It's bad. I was so clean and kept my floor vacuumed each week. The end of the contract is up and I receive my deposit back stating that I was charged $70 for carpet cleaning. What the hell?? So my deposit was $250 and I got $180 back. Also unless you like delivering a check to management each month don't live here. Time to move out of the last century. People use cards now. Dont live here. It sucks! I rented from winter 2016 through winter 2016. ...

Lived here my freshman year and I would have regretted it if I didn't meet some great friends in my roomates. The apartment itself is so small and not taken the best care of. The managers were super nice and pretty lax but the owner is awful and did not accept responsibility for damages to the apartment that were because of the terrible handyman and poor upkeep. We all got hardly any of our deposit back. The social scene is pretty terrible! Building is split into two wards which made it worse. I would never recommend living here to get a good college experience. I rented from fall 10 through winter 11. ...

This place will nickel and dime you. They have lots of dumb rules that are really inconvenient and the management is awful. I didn't pick this place because I was living out of the country and it was picked for me. Had I been given the opportunity, I would not have chosen to live here and I don't recommend living here. If you read the contract carefully you can see how they will charge you for random junk here and there. Management was very unprofessional and honestly pathetic. Just do yourself a favor and don't live here. I rented from fall 10 through fall 11. ...

The apartments had been "renovated" which meant they put a fresh coat of paint up and tiles. Don't be fooled. There is NO dishwasher and the living room gets taken up by all the furniture. The shared room wasn't that bad the beds are tall (without cinder blocks) so there was plenty of storage space. The hall way closet isn't deep enough to put hangers in so it became storage as well. The kitchen is tiny and "desks" they provide are folding dinner trays. The ward is AWESOME but the location of the complex puts you behind everyone, so the social life at the Monson is slim to none. The manager (who lives in the first apartment with her husband so they are good about keeping in touch with the tenants) was a pleasure to work with and was always very friendly, however the land lady was a nightmare to work with. Be careful when signing your contract, there is a $150 termination fee so if you are going to get married, leave on a mission, or just wanna move before your contract ends, YOU WILL pay that $150. Also she tries to throw on you the responsibility of selling your contract (she states its in the contract though its not really). Overall I probably wouldn't move back there, but if you're looking for a quiet study apartment this is perfect for you. I rented from winter 10 through fall '09. ...
