if you like living in crappy apartments this place is for you. parking is horrible, there are huge potholes everywhere! it feels like you are off-roading, the stalls are really small and close together, you can plan on getting lots of new dents in your doors. if you don't get home till after 10 you will either have to park in the underground parking which sucks, its very low, my ski rack scratched the top a few times. or you have to park in the overflow parking. the appliances are either very old and don't work right or new but crappy quality. the chairs, couches, and tables are all old broken and don't match. you can find better stuff at D.I. our water heater sucked. I never had a hot shower the whole school year!. if you are one of the first to shower in your apt you will have a decently warm shower, but other than that its usually luke warm. the beds are horrible. my roommates bed had a huge dent in the middle of it. it was like he was sleeping in a nest. mine is hard, loud and creeky, and of course they come with your standard ghetto cinder blocks. the walls are way thin and the window was basically worthless, we could hear people talking outside in the parking lot even if our window was closed, if you are a light sleeper you wont have a good nights rest the entire school year. my roommate bought ear plugs. there isnt enough space for 6 people in these apartments. you share a crappy dresser with your roommate, 6 guys share the tiny vanity in the "bathroom/hallway" and 6 have share the tiny cupboards with peeling paint in the kitchen, you have to store your stuff in the space above them. the ceiling fans are very low, if you're over 6 feet tall you will have to duck under them. if you are normal height your hand will probably get caught in the fan when undressing (taking of shirt etc.) all my roommates have done it... the pool is gross, very chlorinated and rarely cleaned. its only open for a few weeks of the school year. the hot tub is even worse. it has so much chlorine and other chemicals that it has bleached my friends swimsuits! if it doesn't bleach it it makes it stink like chlorine forever. we would come back and hang our suits in the shower and our whole apartment would smell like chlorine. I hated glenwood and you couldn't pay me to live there next year. I rented from fall '09 through winter 10. ...

I love Glenwood. I honestly love it here. It's super close to campus, the ward is amazing but I love the outdoor area. They have the best pool, a sand volleyball court and an all year round hot tub. The apartments could have been fixed up a little bit more but the people there made up for it. happy hunting :) ...

Super small rooms, especially the third room. Rock hard beds, dumpy apartments, ugly girls. I rented from fall '06 through spring '07.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!! Management are terrible, the apartments are old and in terrible condition. We had a 1 inch space where 2 pieces of old carpet met and a random loose tile under the carpet. Tons of attached fees, not very many attractive females, and lots of crime! The cleaning checks were bs considering the place is 50 years old and what not. A 20$ fee for crumbs under the oven?? give me a break.. It really is the glenhood. I rented from fall '07 through fall '08. ...

I have lived in Glenwood for two years (Fall '07 - Winter '09, this website doesn't have '09 as an option yet) and the only reason I stayed a second year is because I wanted to live with my same roommates again and they were too lazy to go searching for a new place to live. Plus it is really close to campus. But that's about all it's got. Getting any repairs or requests from management is like pulling teeth and our neighbors feel the same way. We had to take our complaints to BYU to get repairs going, but they still haven't repaired everything to meet BYU's minimum housing requirements. I know they have remodeled some apartments which look really nice (to match the nice looking outside; inside our apartment doesn't look nice), but you'll end up paying an extra $100 per month. Management makes you work directly with the cable and Internet companies if there are any problems there, which usually ends up with the company blaming management and to talk with management instead of them. Parking is squished and the lots are so bumpy I'm surprised I haven't broken an axle on my car. You may think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. The washers and dryers take forever and don't even get the job done. The rooms are really small for two people and my roommate has enough clothes that he's put up several of his own racks just to store them. The walls are hardly sound proof. If there's a party/band in the middle recreation area, good luck trying to fall asleep before midnight. Having six guys in such a small living space was difficult to maintain. I've heard upsetting stories from the girls in the ward about the same thing in their apartment. I know of a few break-ins to both apartments and cars (including my roommate's) even though the area is pretty well-lit. I guess you can't completely escape from crime even though we're usually poor college students so why anyone would steal from our community is beyond me. I would not recommend living here to anybody thinking about living here unless they get into one of the remodeled rooms and don't mind pulling teeth with the management. I enjoyed being so close to campus, but the place I'm moving to is so worth being a little further away from campus. I have had enough of a rough experience that I don't mind if you call me to talk more about my experience in Glenwood and convince you to live somewhere else: 801-937-4242 (Salt Lake number). ...

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!! You feel like your four wheeling through the pot holes of the parking lot. In the winter, the management thinks it is okay to leave FOUR FEET OF SNOW so EVERY car gets stuck. Quite the adventure.... NOT!!!! Management DOES NOT listen to any complaints. Our microwave was broken for about 2 months before someone finally came in to replace it. Mold is growing in every crevice. The cleaning checks are ridiculous because it is impossible to pass! They will fail you because the bathtub has "black marks" on them... HELLO THEY ARE FROM THE SEVENTIES!!!!! The social life is ok my ward was ok but honestly NOT WORTH IT. This place is great! There is always parking, you just have to pick up a free pass from the office. They have after hour maintenance that will help with any emergencies. Internet is free and fast. The social life is awesome! It's a block from the stadium and three blocks from the rb. Great location! right on the corner of University Parkway and University Ave. The hot tub has been closed for fixing, but will open up mid feb '09 ...

My ward is the most awesome place ever. Close to campus, very social. They let me paint my room green. I met the love of my life here. That's the only reason I'm not living in Glenwood FOREVER!!!! I rented from fall '07 through winter '08.

I loved the Glenwood. Most people call it the Hood, but it's really about the same as places south of campus where you have to pay more. The fourth building (next to University Pkwy and Ave) is the best. The built in halls make it a really social atmosphere. It can be a little loud, our apartment often ran out of hot water, and we had a mouse, but the overall experience is great, especially the ward. I rented from fall '06 through summer '07. ...

OMG!! I hate Glenwood! Worst experience ever. If you are not a guy who likes to play Halo 3 ALL DAY (from 8am until 8am, I am not even kidding), Guitar Hero 1,2,3 at an ridiculous sound level, or moreover, if you like to sleep at night, donΒ΄t go to Glenwood. I am serious! There is no control at all. My apartment had 3 fridges and a roaming freezer, 4 TVs, and we pay more than $35 for utilities each month. In addition, they charge $10 for internet, which never worked fine. Do not go to Glenwood. Please, do not go to Glenwood, specially apt 195. I rented from fall '07 through fall '07. ...

This place just suck. They want you to pay 10$ for Internet that basically does not work. The management is rude and if you get something get broken you would have to ask them hundreds times before they get fixed it. You would pay almost 300$ for the Winter semester! I hated it. The management was rude and the parking absolutely sucked. When I lived there I worked nights and got home after 10:00. There was no parking. I ended up walking at least 5 minutes from my car to my apartment. The walk to campus was pretty drab and the beds were old, the internet sucked, and it was dirty. The only thing I could find that I liked was that the outside looked nice. I rented from fall '06 through winter '07. ...

I loathed this place. Coming "home" made me depressed every day. It's really quite a rip-off (though everywhere around here is). Considering they're making 240x6=$1440/month per apartment, the place should be in much better shape than it is. Utilities seemed way high, probably because of a lack of insulation. Everything was terrible from the carpet to the couches to the desks. A bad walk to campus, too. I rented from fall '06 through winter '07. ...

Management usually tends to suck. When I lived there, they had no air conditioning, but were re-modeling to put it in, so we got kicked out. Most of the remodeling was done on the outside. Not much changed on the inside. The price is about the same as most places. Internet totally blew when I was there, and probably still does. Social life was pretty good. I met a lot of new people and enjoyed the ward. ...

I've never lived in an apartment complex that excelled so much at tacking on bogus charges to your monthly rent. During spring/summer the rent is supposed to be $119. I paid, on average, $160-189 per month, with a shared room. There are charges for phone service (but no phone service included), charges for internet (mine didn't work, even after I told the mangement), charges for parking, charges for utilities, and anything else the management can come up with. The average age in the complex is also "just-out-of-the-dorms," which was a turn-off when I lived there. It wasn't my favorite renting experience. I rented from fall '06 through spring '07. ...

The quality is about the same wherever you go south of campus. The price is decent, but you can get a really social atmosphere, especially since the hallways are enclosed. The location is pretty good for walking and awesome for football games. Management changes a lot right now and can be really stuck up. Overall I liked the time I spent here.
