Like the last comment said there is new management. They are renaming the apartment complex. I think it is going to be called 9&9 apartments soon. The new management has started some super extensive renovations on the apartments. The newly renovated apartments seem to have fixed all of the problems that I had with the old apartments. I really like the ward, and you can't get much closer to campus. I hear that rent is going up to $335 next year. I honestly think that price is worth it since the apartments are going to be so much nicer next year. If the new management redoes the parking garage this would be the perfect place to live. I rented fall 2013- winter 2014 ...

I rented fall of '13 and paid $290 for rent plus utilities. The place is definitely old. I would say I was in the nicest of the apartments though, and it was pretty cute. The girl side is nicer than the guy side, no doubt, and the couches really all need a cover on them. The location really is fabulous. It is closer on campus than Helaman Halls for most people. If you will be primarily on the NW side of campus it isn't the best, but still not bad. It is a very social place. We had a lot of ward activities and just a bunch of good people. It helps that it has both guys and girls in the same place, so interacting is easy. The sink area is new, the plumbing is old, the parking lot is seriously bumpy. If you have a car, you will likely want to pay for a covered spot because 1) it is covered and it snows in Provo and 2) there aren't enough free spots for the number of residents with cars. I understand that starting winter semester of '14 there is new management (Foxwood I believe). This will change things, since the management I had--while nice--was not ver professional. I have heard rumors that the new organization isn't the best from those at other places but have yet to hear any grumblings from my friends still there (it's been a month to be fair). The separate study area was really nice. The bedrooms are tiny, but when you really need it to sleep in and keep clothes in it, it isn't a problem. The closets are fairly big, and individual so there is a clear "my space" and "roommate's space". There is storage under the beds. I would recommend talking to people currently living there to see what they think of the new management. They say that they will be raising rent next year. Also, if possible, look at the different apartments and pick which you like. They all have the same set up and different interior decorations. The website won't let me say I rented beyond 2011. I rented 2013. I rented from fall 11 through fall 11. ...

Whatever you do do not live here. The landlords are just out to get your money in whatever underhanded way they can. The apartments are disgusting and poorly managed.

Location is the online thing this place has going for them. WORST MANAGEMENT IN THE HISTORY OF MANAGING! lol. That is an understatement. I have lived in 6 different places here in provo, and Alpine is by far the worst. They do not communicate at all with their tenants. Don't expect to get word from them when they decide do construction and block off parking all day or something random like that. The apartments are dirty and smelly. They take ages to fix problems, and make tenants fix most problems themselves. this place is a joke. live somewhere else. ...

The management at this place was horrible. The location was fine, but there were lots of problems that the landlord refused to take care of. Problems with the internet, broken appliances, and pest problems all had to be dealt by tenants. Besides that, they are very dishonest people and will make life a living hell for tenants. I rented from spring '09 through winter 11. ...

I chose to live here because the landlord showed us the room he would give us, and I appreciated that. We've had some problems- the outlets are terrible, the apartments are old, but most of the sink and kitchen area is newer, at least in my apt. It is a fun atmosphere like a hotel type thing with the guys side and the girls side. However, no offense to the guys, but a lot of nerdy weirdies live in this ward, hence why I am moving. The girls are AMAZING though! And some of the guys are normal, you just have to find them and befriend them fast! I think they charge a little bit more than they need, and utilities sometimes get way out of hand. I had to pay $30 of utilities for the month of December, and we weren't using our heat more than like 68. Parking sometimes is hard because they give out more spots than they have for the free parking, and covered parking is $75 a semester. They also just decided they would start doing cleaning checks. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing. It wasn't a bad place to live. There are awesome people everywhere you go. The location ROCKS, leaving 5 til can get you to the Wilk, CB, or WIDB/MARB for class on time. I just want to move to a new ward and closer to where my major is located. I rented from fall 11 through fall 11. ...

Big time mold problem - would not recommend these to anyone. Especially if you want to live in a healthy environment. The men's side was extremely dirty and smelly. The manager claimed they had just been cleaned, they may have been cleaned, but it must have been many years ago. I rented from fall 10 through winter 11. ...

The apartments on the girls side are a lot nicer than on the guys side, but all of them are still pretty ghetto. They look okay if you know how to decorate. The living room and kitchen are one small room which I hated at first but now it just feels homey like that. The separate study room is really nice when your roommate wants to stay up and study later than you, and keeps things more organized. The whole apartment is small though. The best part about these apartments is the location to campus (all you do is walk up a mountain and you are there), and the social life with the other people living in them is great. People are really friendly, and you are all living in the ghetto a little bit so theres no judging :) I rented from fall 10 through winter 11. ...

This isn't a 5* place so don't expect it, but I happened to love this place. They let me paint our apartment, and now it looks amazing. They don't care about clean checks or holes in the wall, so there's no fines. It's great to have the guys and girls just down the hall from each other. Great ward, although there hasn't been as many activities and stuff recently. Everyone is really friendly. Obviously it isn't high profile so you don't get really stuck up people. Jack is the owner, and he treats you like he gets treated, and he's always fixed whatever we needed and fast. LOVE the setup of the apartment with study areas. Can't beat the close location to campus and Kiwanis park is across the road which I have always loved. Parking is a little tricky, but if you buy a spot you never have a problem. Overall, if you want to be realistic stay here, if you want to be pampered, go elsewhere and pay way more. I rented from winter 10 through summer '08. ...

Recently new management has been very poor. They are young kids running the place and they do not have a clue of what to do. This place is a concrete jungle. I rented from fall '08 through summer '09.

People are in their own groups - severe lack of a social life in the ward. Excellent location and proximity to campus. Decent quality apartments - for what you pay. Good management and amenities. I rented from winter '09 through summer '09.

Let's be serious, the apartment is definitely ghetto, and the parking lot has craters...not potholes. I loved the separate study room though, that was great! I also loved the people that I met and had a ton of fun living here. Am I going to live somewhere nicer next year? Absolutely! Do I regret living here? No. If you're high maintenance though, I wouldn't recommend it. ...

This place is literally being held up by a bunch of poles in the parking lot. We used to joke that if we hit one the whole complex would fall down on top of our cars, except it wasn't really a joke. Location is great--about as close to campus as you can get. Separate office space off of bedrooms was very nice--my roommate and I never kept eachother up when one of us wanted to stay up on the computer or doing homework. Bedrooms are super tiny. Management always seemed to turn everything over to the owner (Jack,) and he's not a very nice person. Probably because his management sucked and always tossed everything back onto him. Including repairs. I liked the ward, except it encompassed the Stonebridge Condos as well and it always felt like some kind of caste system existed between the Stonbridge (rich) girls and the rest of the ward. I rented from fall '01 through winter '03. ...

the apartments are in crappy shape and they don't do anything to upkeep them. when our dishwasher broke they tried to scotch tape it back together! it didn't work. its really close to campus which is nice but they charge way more than they are worth. the parking lot has pot holes the size of texas and the stairs were pulling away from the wall! the ward is a little weird but they are nice people, just off the wall. the point is: DON"T LIVE THERE!!!
