Stay away from them!!!! They’ll be nice until to give a deposit. Then they’ll show their true colors. Treat you poorly or completely disregard you. Forget about maintenance. They’ll try to β€œcharge” you anything and everything possible in late fees and deposit. Do yourself a favor, trust the many reviews they have against them, and rent somewhere else!!! ...

I hated it here!! I lived at The Ridge off of Loop 288. The office staff was rude and nosey! Our apartment was small and not worth the $555 a month my roommate and I were each paying. The parking lots were full of potholes, the "security" was a joke, maintenance was rude and they were total Dbags- especially the one who drives a orange camero, if you park in his "spot" he will leave you a note saying he will get you towed if you park there again! I payed extra for covered parking not for stupid threats! overall a crappy experience! Don't waste your money here. Save your self the heartache and look somewhere else with better quality apartments and staff. I rented from fall '08 through summer '09. ...

I loved my apartment. I lived at one of their properties near campus called Somesuch Place. I did have an issue with ants when I first moved in, but the maintenance guy took care of it right away. The receptionist is a little rude, but everyone else was nice to me. I was going to renew my lease when I thought I wasn't going to graduate on time, and they said my rent would go up- from $540 to $550- but I expected this because they told me it would happen at renewal time if the market fluctuated. All apartments do this though so no big deal I guess. I would recommend this place for sure- really close to campus and I had a great time living there. I rented from fall '08 through fall 10. ...

So much drama. I loved my apartment but the company just loves to screw you over. They give empty threats to evict people but never actually do anything. If you pay them they leave you alone. I wish I wasn't locked into a lease. Plus the rent has gone up 40 dollars since I moved in I rented from fall '06 through spring '08. ...

I had trouble with the management- I felt that they were very unresponsive to tenants' needs, as did neighbors. I had mold in my cabinets, my dishwasher neverworked, ants even though they sprayed, and my front door flooded when it rained. I will not rent with Place To Be again. I rented from spring '06 through summer '07. ...

The management is the worst part. Tamela Harper is a boldfaced liar and they really just try to screw you out of money. There is nothing she would like more than to see you suffer! I am not kidding. I am going to have to contact a lawyer due to information I was told and therefore believed (I should have known better) now I'm screwed! NEVER rent from them unless you crave drama and a huge headache! This place is noisy and scary also... just an all around bad deal. I rented from summer '06 through summer '07. ...
