The apartment is very loud but that isn't very controlled by the complex itself. However, the grounds aren't very well kept outside of the grass and pool area, if something spills in a hallway or stairs, it will be there for very long.

Over the fall semester, I have enjoyed my stay at UPointe. There are many different places to eat around the complex, and is a 10-15 walk from Memorial Circle. For what I am receiving at this apartment, its a pretty great deal.

My experience at University Pointe has been much better than some of my other friends in similar American campus apartments, but one negative I have to share is the maintenance. I pay for a penthouse, and while it comes with a flatscreen and a few other amenities it doesn’t work. We’ve tried to get it fixed, but we get looped around and around and it’s exhausting! ...

From before I moved in, the management were deceiving me. They gave me multiple documents stating that i would have an apartment with a friend of mine, as well as a random roommate. in actuality, I was given two random roommates who consistently stole from me and did drugs in the apartment. I later learned that my friend was also put in a similar situation with two random roommates. Later in the year, a maintenance worked entered our property and saw that my trash can was full. the next day, I was presented with a $100 fine directly stating that "for every bag of trash on the premises, there would be a $25 fee." This document was riddled with spelling and grammar mistakes, leading me to believe that it was created purely to address my situation and to take advantage of me. When i asked the management, Dianne, why the fine was multiplied by 4, she told me that trash was a "safety and cleanliness concern." In truth, though I was uninformed at the time, my (already a bit ridiculous,) fine, which was not in the lease agreement, had been multiplied by 4 to incur late fees which they continuously add if a tenant's fees are over $100 and not paid in a week. After taking out the trash and cleaning my room to an immaculate degree, I had the management re-inspect the room, only to directly lie to my face, saying that "the room looked like I had not made any effort to clean it and that I had clothing on my bed (a BS complaint to try and continue extorting me). University Pointe only rescinded their threats after I took photos of the room to Student Legal Services and threatened legal action. even then, they tried to collect a portion of the fee, as well as the late fees, which I eventually paid to make them stop sending daily mail to both myself and my beneficiary. Do not live in this abusive environment. the managers, Tiffany and Dianne are extortionists who will lie to you and steal her money. I rented from fall 2015 through summer 2016. ...

If you're not living in the "Master Room" or bedroom A, then you're out of luck. The rooms are SMALL to pay over $500/month for. Parking is HORRIBLE unless you pay the extra $35/month for a covered spot. The access gates break down what seems to be every other week. The only good thing about it is how close it is to campus. I rented from fall 10 through summer 11. ...
