Worst place I have ever lived in my entire life. If could give negative stars I would. There have been so many problems with this apartment, it would take an essay to describe them all. But to sum it up, this is the list of all of the items that have broken/needed repairs since we have moved in, non of which were because of our doing: the fridge/freezer, garbage disposal, bathroom sink, kitchen sink, drywall (multiple locations due to several water leaks), AC, and heater. I have been living at this apartment for 8 months now and I have NEVER had working AC, it was broken before I ever moved in and has never been fixed properly. Also discovered the heater is broken about 2-3 months ago and that still has not been fixed either. We have 15 degree weather predicted for this week and when I followed up regarding the heater we were told that yet another AC/Heater company refuses to work on the unit. Each AC/Heater company is brought in by the owners and each of them have been scared away by the owners. I think they have been through around 5-6 different companies at this point because the owners are so unreasonable. Besides all of the broken appliances/maintenance issues, the apartment is built to have an "industrial modern" look but in reality it looks more like they just ran out of money when they were building it and slapped the title "industrial" on it. The concrete floor looks like it doesn't even have a sealant on it. The wooden beams on the ceiling still have shoe prints, mud dauber nests, and writing on them. They were not stained. The "ceiling" is actually just the concrete slab of the floor above us and is poorly sealed so we battle cockroaches all year long. The units have massive windows in them, which is cool in theory. However they let in so much light and heat it made it even more difficult to keep the apartment somewhat cool, especially without AC. Also, they don't provide any sort of window treatments so you'll end up wasting more money on that. When we have asked for compensation, they provided us with around $100 by covering part of our electric bill, which was only so high because of their incompetence in providing an adequate AC system. It is also very noisy, we can hear everything from the apartment above us. Even just walking around, and it will startle us when they drop something. Obviously not their fault, but the building is not designed well for noise cancellation. Overall, this has been literally the worst place I have ever lived in by FAR, and I have moved around a lot. If you ever think about renting this place, run the opposite direction. No matter how unique it might look, it's SO not worth it. ...

location is good although the train going by is noisy. the space is wonderful in terms of loft style. common areas like hallways are dirty and not cleaned regularly. the gates have a simple code but don't self close so remain open often. the entry gates are not covered so when raining you get soaked. The biggest issue is the noise floor to floor. if you have an active neighbor especially with a large dog this means you will seldom have peace or good sleep. ...
