I’m so glad that I moved a couple of weeks ago! These apartments are just not the same anymore since the last two managers left. Anytime there’s a problem the managers that are there now just try to blame everything on the last two managers, but when Marcie and Jennifer was there you would barely run into any issues. They actually cared about their tenants! The new managers are just nonchalant and do not care. You get all kinds of fees that appear on your statement before your lease is up! Which is against the law! They do not care about their tenants who have been here since the first day they opened! They are willing to just let you go because in their words,”there is someone ready to move into your apartment anyway.” You use to see people coming and going in and out of the office trying to get a spot, but no one cares to even come to this place since Sunshine has become manager. You can’t call or complain because you will get the run around since corporate keeps turning their head! So if you have an issue your best bet is to just move with a hefty amount on your account or never even apply to live there! It takes weeks to even get anything in your apartment fixed! Before May when I would call the front office Jennifer or Marcie would get maintenance there ASAP! The maintenance man now will come into your apartment and act as if he fixed it, and will walk through your house and leave a piece of paper saying that nothing was wrong. One day I got tired of that, and I put a order in. When he came I stood in my closet to watch what he was doing and why he keeps saying he fixed it. He was there only for a minute to write on a piece of paper to state he didn’t see a problem and leave! When Eric was there he showed up the day you put your work order in, but now you have to wait a week or two just for the new maintenance man to come and check, and then some more days just for him to come and fix it just for him not to fix it! It’s ridiculous! They even make you pay for any work order you put in! Like what kind of mess is that? Also, don’t be surprised if you’re lied to just because the lie benefits Calais and not you. Tenants have no rights and it feels like you’re getting no where when speaking with management. BUT, they will be the nicest you’ll ever see them when they are GIVING A TOUR! DO NOT MOVE HERE! ...
