There was an on-site Prostitution ring operating from several units I was told. Also car break ins, apartment break ins. Would not recommend. Management is also not helpful with any of these things. I rented from fall '09 through summer 10.

Gunshots, Car Break-ins, Car Vandalism, Sex Offenders / Molesters, Fender Benders, Punks Hanging Out, Thugs, Shady-looking Characters, Maintenance Worker looking like he was High (on Drugs), police responded 3 even 4 nights a week, 6 of 10 tenants said they had 1 or more problems (crime/safety), a Peeping Tom, security guard sleeping, illegally parking in handicap space, drug heads, 3 cars up on blocks (tires/rims stolen), attempted stolen car twice - these are allegations made by current/former tenants on website. I just received new Houston Police Department Offense and CFS Report for Providence Uptown for last 2 years. IT IS ALMOST 400 PAGES LONG. I will update next week with all crimes. I'll inform you or continue emailing me. The Houston Police Department Offense and CFS Report's indicate multiple car break-ins on 8/18, 9/20, 10/10, 10/18, 12/24, 12/24, 12/26, 12/28, 1/4 and 1/25. Tenant's losses exceeded $20,000 from smashed windows and stolen property in the past several months. After reading this report I am truly terrified living here. I lock the deadbolt and wedge a chair under the door knob. Burglary of Apartment, door was pried open. Items stolen were a TV, laptop, golf clubs and other items amounting to a $2,165 loss for tenant. Aggravated Apartment Robbery, door was kicked in. Suspect robbed by two unknown individuals. Management never informed us about the serious and repeated crimes. Again these happened in broad day light with a 'security guard' on-duty and other residents around. Thank God no one was hurt or killed. The HPD Offense Report contains numerous other serious crimes specifically for Providence Uptown at 3323 McCue Road like last several months: * Assaults on 11/01 and 12/06 which including $600 in stolen property. * Investigation (Homicide): 11/14, 12/09 and 12/15. * Suspicious Persons of Vehicle reported to 911 - 11/08, 9/15, 9/2. * Intoxicated Individual on 1/31 * Criminal Mischief - Car Keyed on 1/19 * Theft, Credit Card - Loss $200 on 12/09 * Theft - Valued at $200 on 9/23 * Investigation of abandoned vehicle on 9/17. * Criminal Mischief-Car window smashed. Probably a burglary on 8/13. I have been told in confidence by an HPD Officer and some tenants agreed, there are insiders regularly staking out apartments and cars. I would not be surprised if every tenant becomes a victim. I have been a victim. They should inform people of this BEFORE they sign a lease because 99% of people would choose not to lease rather than be put in a dangerous situation, especially women, families, professionals, older people & respectable honest people. They have a promotion in now, 'Refer a friend - if they lease you get $500'. I would not recommend this place to anyone, EVER. The bribe or promotion is not worth the dangers to your friend. I rented from winter 10 through spring 10. ...
