I (UTK graduate student) loved living at Woodmeade apartments. Management personnel are professional and friendly. Maintenance issues were few, and the workers were there quickly. I lived alone there with absolutely no 'creepy vibes' during my program. Safety: fire extinguishers, stove hood extinguishers, ample outside lighting. Units are older but well-maintained. CLEAN. No bugs. Good carpet, spacious rooms and closets. Functional fireplace, which I used; nice. Efficient kitchen: Dishwasher, washer & dryer hook-ups in apt.,food pantry closet, and cabinets. I used the complex's laundry room (they have two) for 2 years with no problem. My view from the balcony was a stunning tree-scape, just trees. A place you can LIVE in with pets (and no poo piles thanks to baggie stations throughout the complex), and they don't get cranky if you want to hang stuff on the walls. Five minute drive to UTK student parking structure by stadium. Note: These are older units. Electric bill can be a bit high. Get an upstairs unit if you have a problem (I didn't) with hearing people walk up there from time to time. A mixed population lives here.
