My roommate and I are first-year college students at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. We decided that for our first year, we would live in the dorms to get the chance to fully experience college life. But, with the outbreak of COVID-19, we were very disappointed when we arrived on campus, and realized that the full-college experience would not be attainable. Dorms were being locked down, food was being delivered to our rooms, we couldn't go out to meet people, in fact, we couldn't even go home without getting tested before and after leaving. We realized that the dorms were not an ideal place for us, considering all of our classes were online and our hometowns were only 30 miles away. But, we also both have jobs here in La Crosse, so we wanted to continue to live in La Crosse, but just not in the dorms. So came out our idea to move into an apartment, but we figured that it would literally be impossible to find one being that it was October and most of the students had already moved into their apartments. But, we still looked and were able to find Riverview Apartments. They managed to get us an apartment and we were able to move in right away. We love the neighborhood, as it is quiet--a perfect place to go on runs or walks. Parking is also great, they have parking lots, as well as street parking that is very close to the doors. It is quiet here, and the apartments themselves are all around nice. When there is an issue, they have an emergency maintenance number in which we have called twice and have received instant service. We truly really like it here, and we are so thankful we were able to find a place like this in our past situation. ...
