During my time as an undergrad student at SJSU, I was living in the Willow Glen district of San Jose. This was the perfect place for me to live as it was only a 12 minute drive to campus without traffic. In addition to the short commute, I was a short walk away from Downtown Willow Glen which is full of local businesses and restaurants that were fully accessible. The neighborhood was safe and quiet, but also a short way from downtown San Jose where things were always lively for a college student. I was even able to get a job at the elementary school two blocks away from my apartment, allowing me to walk to work everyday. The property manager lived on site and was always willing to be of assistance to every resident. He even took our personal life events into consideration when it came to paying rent or getting things fixed. Minnesota Glen consisted of two next-door apartment complexes and the property manager was kind enough to help me move from my 3-bedroom apartment into a studio apartment next door.
