Our first experience with Old Quaker Building apartments was in 2010 when our youngest daughter was going to attend the graduate nursing program at UPENN. Old Quaker had been our first stop and all the other apartments we looked at could not compare to Old Quaker. In fact, we rented #206 from Anita that same day. The apartment was clean, newly painted, the rugs were shampooed, wash/dryer is standard, and the halls are cleaned daily. We always felt it was a save and secure environment for our daughter. The apartments are quaint and have several amenities like: a workout area, BBQ grill, and a great porch to sit and relax. They allow small animals, and have convenient parking as well. The apartments are in walking distance to UPENN, Drexel University, great restaurants, and a local convenience store. Well you would think this was the end of our story – Not At All ! In 2012, our daughter-in-law was accepted into the graduate nursing program at UPENN. We didn't even have second thoughts as to where she would be living. As soon she was accepted, we contacted Anita and Stephanie and rented an apartment for her 13 month stay. As one would expect, by this time we had gotten to know the staff - Anita, Stephanie, and Tom the handy man. What a great team to have on your side. They welcomed us with open arms and my daughter-in-laws stay has been just as good as our daughters. When considering an apartment, we highly recommend you talk to them. They are there to make your stay pleasant, safe, comfortable, and accommodating - it will be your home away from home. I rented from summer 10 through summer 11. ...

I have lived in the Old Quaker Building for the past 8 years, and I think its a great apartment building. The apartments are really beautiful with some combination of 12-16 foot ceilings, exposed brick walls, exposed wood ceilings, hardwood flooring and gorgeous kitchen/bathroom. They also have a washer/dryer and a dishwasher in my unit, they allow small dogs and cats and have parking (for an extra fee). The building maintenance and manager are really amazing. Any repair request I put in is quickly addressed - I even had someone at my apartment within an hour or two on a Sunday during a heatwave when my AC had some issues. The neighborhood is nice, with public transportation close by - I feel very safe here and walk to and from Penn's campus every day. I have really loved my apartment over the past several years, it really feels like a home and I enjoy coming back to it everyday. I rented from summer '05 through summer 11. ...

These apartments are beautiful and well maintained. The units are large and have a lot of character--the ceilings are wood and some of the walls/windows are lined with brick. Units come with a washer and dryer and a dishwasher, the only downside is that the appliances are electric. Management/maintenance is very responsive. Rent is high but the apartment is perfect for a couple and reasonable with respect to square footage. I rented from Summer 2012-present and plan to resign my lease. I rented from summer 10 through summer 11. ...

Great place to live for students! Close to Drexel, Penn, and a variety of local restaurants. The apartments have been recently renovated, so they are really clean and updated. The staff is friendly and maintenance issues are handled quickly. Recently my washer broke and they promptly installed a new one. Another bonus is they allow small animals, which is nice because I have a dog. Overall, I'm so glad I found this place and I highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for a place to live. I rented from spring 11 through summer 11. ...
