These are the problems that my boyfriend and I incurred in 6 months: 1) not fixing grounds on property that are uneven, grassless, and rocky after I sprained my ankle on such property 2) denying/ignoring 1-Day Service Guarantee which states that for each day that a maintenance request isn't fixed or the tenant isn't contacted about a delay in fixing the problem, one months worth of rent will be compensated. Korman Residential neglected an ongoing flood issue in the bedroom closet which spread to the bedroom for 33 days. No one came out to our apartment for 30 days! We called three times within that time frame. 3) failing to manage the upstairs tenant from noise complaints, behavior complaints, safety/fire hazards, and verbal assault/aggression after I reported it twice in person to two people in management. The upstairs tenant repeatedly smokes in the stairwell, has conversations in the stairwell and outside our apartment door after 10pm at night, vacuums 4x's a week after 10pm, stares invasively through our living room windows repeatedly at us, verbally assaulted me in the clubhouse and in the courtyard twice. 4) second flood: the upstairs tenant overflowed her washing machine twice in 12 hours flooding into our apartment through our bathroom and bedroom ceiling. The second time it happened, maintenance said it was fixed and it was ok for her to run it. They didn't stay to stop the problem from happening again. This caused us stress to have to live in another apartment for a week while the repairs and blowers were drying out our apartment. 5) non-verbal and verbal sexual harassment from 2 maintenance men who came during the second flood. 6) not paying our electric bill after stating in writing that they would for running the dryers/blowers in our apartment after the second flood 7) damaging our Venetian Area rug (purchased at $200.00 shipping) with white paint after the second flood during ceiling repairs Other problems: 1) ALL the walkways flood; you step into a 2" puddle at your front door 2) don't be fooled by the outside appearance of the grounds in Redwood Ct. The grounds aren't nearly half as manicured as this court. 3) our bottom floor apartment was constantly with dampness; you could feel it in your bed sheets and sometimes on printer paper. It was constantly cold even in the summer. If you have allergies to mold/mildew, don't stay here. 4) clicky, gossipy, unfriendly clubhouse staff 5) office team isn't friendly or nice or at all concerned with fixing your maintenance issues; especially the general manager speaks in a yelling voice at you in person and on the phone, and is argumentative, monopolizes the conversation, listens poorly, discounts your concerns, denies the 1-Day Service Guarantee, and overall, is a ball of anxiety. 6) some walkways are cracked, and aren't finished leading to dirt 7) parking is bad; there needs to be more spaces to accommodate all the tenants. Plus, there are potholes. 8) I watched a neighbor pick up his 30 lbs. dog by the nape of his neck because he was mad that the dog didn't come when called. :( 9) the walkways are close to your living and bedroom windows making it easy for anyone to look in. Not very private here. I rented from spring '09 through summer '09. ...
