Do not rent from these thieves.............unless you don't mind be ripped off. They obviously have a monopoly in the area and lead you to believe that there are no other choices. I recently rented an apartment for a soccer tournament, which I no longer needed. I was never informed of any kind of policy that said I would not receive a refund should I need to cancel. I lost $250 for 2 NIGHTS on an apartment that had no air conditioning and no curtains, absolutely nothing. Another family in our group also had their $250 stolen from James Properties. My advice would be to find ANYTHING else that is not managed by these con-artists. ...

I am so tired of Darrow... Carpeted kitchen, water heater in the pantry, which cant be good for our food... Mold in the windows, they take forever to fix things like dripping bathroom sinks and leaky kitchen sinks (the water leaking is nasty and gets on pots and pans and leaves marks...) Snow removal is a joke...They are over priced. The only good thing I think is the location. That, and they are furnished...I know I don't want to live here again. Darrow sucks. NEVER EVER EVER LIVE HERE PLEASE. We shower them in money! SHOWER THEM. It is more expensive than any other place around, and when you add on another person, the price DOUBLES for the same amount of space. The place was filthy when we got here, they never call when we get packages, our sink leaks and they came to fix it 3 times. There's no A/C (which I don't really care about). Everything falls apart. OUR KITCHEN IS CARPETED!!!!!!!!!!!! The windows leak and are covered in mold. You can't have pets. Pretty much every negative thing you can think of, they are that... and for a very high cost. Please, for the love of God, don't ever give them one cent. There are plenty of other apartments around that don't suck. We are paying $1,425 per month not including electric, which is on avg. 80 dollars!! For 2 rooms and 3 people. The internet NEVER WORKS ITS SO GOD DAMN SLOW!!! The bath tub doesn't have the option to fill up. It's just a piece of shit here. They painted over the power outlets, so you have to slam things into it for a while before a plug fits in. They even painted over some of the peep holes. Idiots. On the lease it says you can't have anyone sleep over, and no more than one person over at a time. I made a huge mistake signing the lease. They rushed me through it. I should have read it better. (I actually rented fall '08 to spring '09 but the '09 option didn't exist.) I rented from fall '07 through spring '08. ...

I can't wait to get out of this place. The "free" internet hardly works, snow removal in the parking lot is never done, there is carpet in the kitchen and mold in the bathroom, and there is no A/C. It took them 2 months to fix a ceiling that fell in, causing my 3 roommates and I to live in one bedroom. It was another 3 months to get a new refrigerator. Stay away from Darrow and College Park.
