I lived in the Oakhill apartments 2011-2011 and had the best living experience since the time I moved from the dorms. Unlike lower Oakland, the hill is cleaner, and much safer in my opinion! There is no direct landlord, but when there are maitnence issues, there is a number to call and they are very quick to respond to your requests. There is a security unit specifically for the Oakhill area, and they patrol the streets day and night. When looking for an apartment, the leasing office staff was very helpful! They were open eared to what you wanted out of a unit, and would show you all the options that they had. At no point in time were they pushy or tryin to persuade you into something you didnt want!
