Miami Village is dirty and loud. There is dog poop everywhere. They give you a weird monthly bill for utilities that fluctuates without reason. There are many nicer places to live in Oxford. Call up Wayne Morrison or Barb Clawson. Or get roommates and
live in Oxford Commons.

The apartments in this property are older and in my opinion cost MUCH more than they are worth. The property is under new management, but it seems they just can not get their act together. They claim that they are overhauling the place, but they only
thing that they have changed is the rent, which is going up astronomically. The management have even given several eviction notices to people who have been paying their rent just because they can't keep their accounting straight. Every time you go into the office, phones are ringing off the hook, yellow maintenance slips are strewn across the tables... it is a real mad house.
Let me put it you this way: it took them about six months to change the property sign off Chestnut Avenue from "Brookside Terrace," which is what it was formerly called to "Miami Village." Also, when you pull into the driveway of the Terrace phase it still boasts the "Brookside Terrace" sign.
They were operating their office out of the basement of a condo for a long time even though they promised a new office with laundry facilities, tanning beds and an entertainment area in a building located in the middle of the Ashley phase parking lot. Nine months later, they are still working on it. Mind you, this building already existed, needed only interior renovations and is about the size of one of their two bedroom condominiums. They also say that they are going to turn the old office into an internet cafe, but you should probably expect that to happen around 2016.
The maintenance people never respond to requests and usually leave jobs incomplete and it often takes months to get something completed and only after multiple office visits. They do not make any effort to accommodate visitors and tow twenty-four hours a day.
None of the utilities are included and the apartments are heated by natural gas, which runs in excess of $100 a month in the winter. The apartments are spacious and have a decent layout, but have not been taken care of and don't seem to be getting any better.
Lastly this set of properties are owned and operated under the auspice of CMC Properties. CMC owns and operates a variety of properties in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area and this is their most remote property. The staff lives closer to downtown and it is no wonder than they do not have a vested interest in their tenants. If CMC paid closer attention to this satellite property, they would realize their management is getting away with murder.
If these apartments are in your price range, you are better off going someplace with newer buildings and better management.
I rented from fall '07 through spring '08.
