Riverview Club Apartments & Madison Development Company rises to the top of the list of the absolute worst locations I have ever experienced. The current property manager Katie Spiewacki has no clue what she is doing. From 1st contact to the end of my
lease she made numerous mistakes, failed to address issues in a timely manor, and violated the lease agreement numerous times. I do not recommend renting here. The common areas were always filthy especially the laundry room. There was blood spatter on the hallway wall and no one ever cleaned this during my stay. The parking lot, and grounds are littered, and dirty. The raccoon problem here is so bad near the trash receptacle tenants could not even open the lid to place their trash in without the fear of being bitten or attacked. There is a long standing psychotic tenant in Unit 3.......he screams death threats, and disturbs the other renters all night. Management continues to ignore it despite complaints. They obviously do not do real background checks which is evident of who they allow to rent there. They allow 5 people to move into a unit, and then raise your rent & utility fee to pay for it. They do not give proper notice before entering the units, nor do they abide by the lease terms when increasing the rent. The building is in decay which you will notice the moment you walk across the unit. The floors creak so bad you will want to break the lease after a few weeks living there. They advertise as a "Your Peaceful Living Experience". I found it to be anything but peaceful. Ambulances, and Police were regularly there for assaults, fires, and drug overdoses during my stay. There is no view of the "River" but instead a brick wall from the neighboring building. My unit was filthy. No dishwasher or disposal. No ceiling fan. Deteriorating countertop and cupboards coming lose from the wall. The plumbing is held together with duct tape, and putty. There were constant water leaks that went for months unfixed due to management's incompetence. The poor floors, and walls allow you to hear everything from your neighbors They will raise your rent a minimum of $50 without giving you the proper notice required in the lease then they will attack you and non renew you when you complain. This place had a negative feeling about it from day 1. It is a blessing to be far away from it all now. Do yourself a favor and do not make the same mistake I did. Find a far better managed, safer, and cleaner location.
