If you have children or pets do not let them suffer around these fire alarms. I left because the constant alarms created intense stress for me. Amenities they promised never came to fruition. Parking was a nightmare. On a good note, my apartment was nice but management was neglectful and rude at best. ...

FIRE ALARM HELL. Quality of life at luckey platt is Nil. You never know when the LOUD BLOOD CURDLING alarms will go off. Actually you do know at least itโ€™ll be every day, just wonder the time. Will it be 10pm? Will it be 4am? Will it be both?

The apartments are well done and look beautiful but they donโ€™t tell you anything about the fire alarm before you sign the lease. This building is not livable for anyone. The fire alarms scream in our apartments loud every single day, often in middle of the night screeching and startling in the night. The building is not livable and anyone I talk to in the building are just waiting to end the lease to get out. I donโ€™t believe these good reviews that donโ€™t speak about it because everyone in the building constantly cries and complains about the nightmare alarms. Itโ€™s a living nightmare and hard for them to keep tenants. Itโ€™s so bad that many are leaving before lease is over. Maintenance guys are wonderful people and the manager does her best in a really unfortunate situation. ...

Absolutely awful. Please do yourself a favor and do not live here. The fire alarms go off constantly, to the point where most residents do not leave their apartments when the alarm goes off. This is a safety hazard, of course, but when the fire alarm is going off multiple times a week, it's impossible to know when there's a legitimate emergency. The worst was when it went off 4x in one day, and there's been multiple times that it went off at 4am. The rent is exorbitant, and on top of rent, they'll charge hundreds in utilities. My one bedroom apartment was $1783, but I ended up paying $1970-$2050 every month in utilities (not including electricity and parking, which added an additional $80 or so a month). The only parking available is one of the very limited spots in front of the building (for a fee, of course) or in the municipal lot across the street. My car was broken into in the municipal lot (that you have to pay $32 a month to use), and after talking to other residents, many people have had their cars broken into there. There is no option for safe parking. When I informed Luckey Platt my car had been broken into, they said they would check the security cameras, and never got back to me. They do not seem to care about the fact that there is no safe parking in the area. Finally, the worst thing, was that I almost lost $373 due to a clerical error Luckey Platt made when I moved out, and I only got paid the money I was owed after I caught the mistake and had to argue with management to get it back. The last month I lived at Luckey Platt, I was overcharged for a whole month of rent/utilities, when my lease was ending on the 13th. Management assured me I would be reimbursed what I was owed, but when they went to reimburse me, they tried to reimburse me $373 less than what they owed me. (I paid $1977 total for rent and utilities for May, I was owed back $1111.93 plus the security deposit, they tried to pay me back only $634 plus security). When I called them about this, I was told multiple times that I was wrong, I wasn't owed that much money, the amount they were paying me was the correct amount. As someone with a strong math background, I knew this wasn't right, so I broke down all the math and sent it back to them. After about a week, they finally confirmed that I was right, and I was owed the additional $373. I was never given an apology for the fact that I almost lost $373 due to their negligence, nor for how I was told multiple times on the phone that I was wrong. This is insanely unprofessional and unacceptable. I've now taken to warning everyone I know who still lives at Luckey Platt to double check all their reimbursement amounts, because I don't want this to happen to anyone else who lives there. The few positives of living here: the apartments are very pretty, and the maintenance team is wonderful. They are incredibly attentive and professional. But personally, those pros do not outweigh the cons in the slightest. The apartment looks great on paper. But the fees sneak up on you, your car will get broken into, the fire alarm will go off all the time, and heck, they might just try to keep $373 of the money they owe you. It's not worth it. ...

The heat in my apartment has been so hot itโ€™s unlivable, after contacting management they said they โ€œcouldnโ€™t shut it offโ€ then ignored my emails for two months. They couldnโ€™t even respond to help me with this vital situation.

I love how spacious and open my apartment is. The new laundry rooms are amazing and I was told the gym will be finished soon! I was nervous about moving into a building that's under construction but i've had no issues and, to my surprise things have been pretty quiet for me. The few times i've had to place a service request the staff has been very responsive. ...

Horrible experience. Do not move here. They promise you all of these amenities, you have to pay for them but they are not completed. They just finally finished the laundry rooms on each floor and it was supposed to be done back in April. They charge for a trash pick up $15/month and they come by whenever they want, sometimes they go days without picking up the trash. They will fine you if you leave your trash butler can outside the appt building because it goes out of their โ€œaestheticsโ€. So why offer a trash butler service for? Thereโ€™s numerous holes in the ceilings whereโ€™s unfinished. Thereโ€™s a roach and mice infestation ever since May. May 2021 we started to complain about the roaches everywhere in the building, we sent over pics and videos since Katherine, the office manager kept saying โ€œwell we donโ€™t get them here in the officeโ€ completely rude and not caring about how the tenants are living in the building. The mail and packages are always out in the main hallway and your packages can and will be stolen!!! The fire alarm system goes off literally every single day, the alarm is extremely LOUD. Usually it takes them 20-60 minutes to have the firefighters waste their time and come to building to turn off the alarm. This is also wasting the firefighters time when they can assist people who TRULY needs their time and assistance. Katherine then sends everyone a memo stating that they will start to fine people $100+ if the alarms go off again, then weeks later, admitted that the systems were overly sensitive and goes off for anything. Katherine - is completely rude, very unpleasant to speak with. Anytime you bring up an issue that they FAIL to fix, she will say you are THREATENING her. She stated I didnโ€™t pay for Novemberโ€™s rent and I handed her a cashiers check since the online portal was DOWN due to them being merged with Lincoln Group Property - who are currently undergoing several lawsuits due to poor living conditions. I handed her the check, I still have my receipt from my bank. KATHERINE - you also called me from an unknown # stating that if I threaten. You again, You will be calling the cops. What happened to my payment? I know you canโ€™t cash the check since itโ€™s payable to Luckey Platt Apartments. Please Donโ€™t even waste your time at all!!!!! The parking lot across the street you have to pay $30/month and we all have experienced break ins. The parking lot in front of the building is $80/month and barely any parking at times even with the new paved ground. My rent is $1496 and some how some way they try to charge $1800 a month. If youโ€™re not careful and looking at what youโ€™re paying you WILL be overcharged. ...

This place is honestly ridiculous. We pay for literally everything, down to paying for them to take out OUR garbage when no one asked for any help. Thereโ€™s mice and roaches. Weโ€™re paying for all of these services that arenโ€™t even built yet. Summer time heat is deadly, NO AC. The staff are only nice until you actually sign a lease and move in. Then they are rude and donโ€™t help with ANYTHING. Thereโ€™s one maintenance guy that argues with literally everyone over ANYTHING and makes up lies. Wish I never signed a lease here at all. HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND! ...

iโ€™ve lived here since 2015. New management took over last february and this place has turned into an absolute joke. We pay luxury apartment prices and this place is nowhere near worth it. the building is under construction, itโ€™s loud, itโ€™s dirty. they neglected to take the garbage out for days at one point and we had to report them to the health department. when we complained to management, we received a nasty email in return. we had issues with our hot water and we were basically told well youre the only apartment thatโ€™s having this issue so it doesnโ€™t matter. it took weeks to be resolved. maintenance is useless and they will curse you out if you complain to them. we pay $60+ a month for water, they charge based on an algorithm, not usage. management is useless, they will never respond to emails or call you back. we were told certain amenities were only supposed to take a few weeks to be finished, that was 9 months ago when we moved in and theyโ€™re still not done. management is lying to people to try and get them to move in and then you find out how expensive this place really is. we were told once amenities are finished there will be additional fees. Other tenants were told amenities weโ€™re already included in their rent. i could go on and on about this place. we are moving out before our lease is up because we canโ€™t stand the thought of staying in this place any longer than we have to. i do NOT recommend this place at all! stay away and save your money and sanity! ...

I highly suggest never moving into the Luckey Platt Apartments. The supers (maintenance) barely get anything done besides taking out the garbage. If you ask for help, which is their only job, they charge you and the money goes directly into their pockets. They falsify their elevator records of being inspected once a month, which is a complete lie. They're constantly out of order and move at a snail's pace. Not to mention, the supers live in the apartment building too, rent free and constantly disappoint when you need their assistance. When you call Alma Realty Corp, who runs the building, they pick up 1/10 times, are always nasty, and never fulfill your requests. This building is poorly run, the apartments are dirty, and the parking situation is laughable. I know Luckey Platt is under new management, but I'm skeptical of them too. When we were planning to move out, the new company informed us, before they informed us they even bought the building, that we had to give 60 days notice before we officially moved out. Um, what? They also informed us that they were kicking out all residents to renovate all the apartments. That's just downright wrong. Some of the residents lived there for 10+ years and now they're forced out of their homes and the new company has raised the price $500-$1,000. Gentrification at its finest! If you're rich and privileged and snobby, this is the place for you. I would never want to deal with this building or company ever again. I rented from spring 2017 through spring 2020. ...

OK building. Hallways look kind of gross, but apartments are nice. All brand new, hardwood floors, high ceilings. Very basic kitchen...no dishwasher. AC hole in the wall ready for unit but no unit. Correct AC to fit the hole costs like $1000. Builders should've put the unit in. All in all, decent building. Noisy neighbors and some trashy people live around, but not horrible. I rented from fall '09 through fall 10. ...
