I KNOW THIS IS LONG BUT IT'S WORTH READING - DON'T LET THESE THIEVES GET YOU! This place can show well when you're looking for a place so don't be fooled. My boyfriend and I were looking for a two bedroom and this place looked clean and had a renovated kitchen. It looked bright and the neighborhood looked good. We finally moved out after 2 years of hating it and not thinking we could afford to live anywhere else - BUT YOU CAN! Once we lived there a few months, the problems became obvious and multiplied: - We started to see ROACHES a few months in. Disgusting HUGE ones. We started to look for how they were coming into the apartment and found holes above the bathroom cabinet, above the kitchen cabinets and around the radiators. We taped them up and started to notice less bugs. However, when we got large rains or they mowed, they found their way under the doors and through the air conditioners. - Once the economy got bad, it got really crowded and there was NO PLACE TO PARK other than half a mile away in a larger parking lot. Every night, if we got home after 5:45, we had to park in a large parking lot. Definitely NOT ENOUGH parking. - The MAINTENANCE department is horrible. We work 9-5 and they won't make an appointment for service. If something goes wrong, you need to call early in the day and HOPE that someone comes during the day meaning you waste your whole day waiting for them. One time, I called 5 times before someone came because they kept forgetting about me! NO ONE CARES!! Another time, I heard incessant beeping in a basement and called thinking it might be a carbon monoxide detector and they said they would send someone to look. The beeping kept going all night. AGAIN - NO ONE CARES! - There's a no pet rule but EVERYONE has one and some people have lived there so long that they're "grandfathered" in and the rules don't apply to them. Therefore all you can do about noisy dogs is bother the police. Barking - ALL THE TIME. - Laundry machines are always BROKEN and we always needed to spend extra money and time walking back and forth because our clothes didn't wash or dry. - AND THE WORST PROBLEM is how they try to rob your security deposit. We asked what to do to get our whole deposit and they said to leave it "clean". We spent lots of time on moving day sweeping and cleaning and they still took out money for EXCESSIVE CLEANING because they wouldn't tell us what to clean. WHEN I DISPUTED THE CHARGES, THEY CALLED AND SAID THEY TOOK THE MONEY BY MISTAKE BUT THEN SENT ME A LETTER TELLING ME I WASN'T GETTING IT BACK!! To me, that's something a 5 year old does to play games - THEY'RE LIARS! PLEASE! IF THESE ISSUES DON'T STOP YOU, I DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL! I rented from summer '08 through summer 10. ...

Rip off!! Managment scams you!! Beware!! plastering is no renovating!! Where do i start!! No Parking, building is falling apart, water leaks in bathroom and bedroom, maintenance never fixed anything and i lived there for 3 years. Loud!! i mean LOUD banging noises from steam pipes under the floors. Steam leaks out of the heaters. the painter paints on top of everything. NOT water bugs but roaches, spiders and scabby cats every where. Neighbors can hear everything. Flooding has destroyed cars a couple of times by boulevard and riechelt ave. Brookchester constantly send there maintenance in your apartment even after you sign for them to not go in without you there!!!! The gardeners will blow leaves, dirt, and grass on to your cars and threw the cracks of the apartment doors. Maintenance actually came to reglaze the nast tube and ended up leaving glaze resadue all over the apartment. (floor, tv, bed sheets, tooth brush etc...) Finally, Management is very disrespectful and rude. I rented from fall '05 through fall '07. ...
