Owner/landlord seems to have little interest in keeping the place his grandfather built up, but plenty of interest in charging very high rent. "Customer," or tenant, is decidedly not always right (especially if a woman), but long string of incompetent, ineffectual managers (but ONLY if male) get his deference and complete support (female managers get patronizing lectures). Place must once have been beautiful and impressive, but owner puts little priority on maintaining it despite high rent. The landscaping is disastrous, maintenance requests and reports of safety issues go unanswered for too long or altogether, gas and electric are charged by the square foot, so you'll pay for your neighbors' use if it's greater than your own. Do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere, at least until someone who cares somewhere near about the property and tenants as much as he cares about his bank account and appearing "important" while behaving abominably buys the place. I'll be out as soon as I possibly can, because it makes me ill to continue to contribute dearly to someone so very, very undeserving of my money and responsible tenancy.
