I signed a year lease in 2006. 3 months into it my sister died and I had to take on her two cats. I already had one, so that made three cats and there was not enough room. I went to the front desk to ask what steps to take to move out. I offered that they keep my $2100 deposit, I would pay an extra month's rent, plus offer a month's free rent for the next tenant. They did not accept this offer!!! Instead, they sent me a bill 2 weeks after moving out for $6500-the entire amount of the rest of the lease, saying I had 2 weeks to pay up. The very next day I got a demand for $9500-instead of even giving me 2 weeks they sent it to collections and tacked on a 50% collection fee!!! Of course now I had to get a lawyer. So I did. They sat on that apartment for the next 8 months and only rented it out the week my lease was up! By the way, the place was in perfect condition when I left, they could have rented it out immediately. I took out ads for the apartment at their request and sent people down to them to check out, and they would sell them cheaper apartments, offering $100 per referral. They made no effort to rent the place! Now the case is over and sickeningly, the judge ruled in their favor based on the fact "I had a contract". It was the judge's first civil trial and he's old-money-never had to rent in his life...yay for me. Now I am facing $12K on legal fees plus $6500 I have to pay them. I have no energy to fight this anymore. I just hoped the little guy wouldn't get screwed in the end, but I thought wrong. My plead to all, stay away from these guys...I beg you. You could end up in my situation. By the way, they also kept my $2100 deposit all these 3 years, illegally. They still have it. There is no justice for renters.:( I rented from spring '06 through fall '06. ...

Horrible. These apartments are located in the worst location imaginable. The owners are evil and conniving. They will haggle terms and conditions of contracts, which are actually non-negotiable. They will also only use bits and pieces of the contracts as they see fit, when they see fit. Calls and letters seem to conveniently disappear when they don't want to deal with an issue. Their main concern is your money, and more of it. For your own sake, please do not look to rent here. I rented from summer '07 through summer '08. ...

This place looks beautiful and the apartments are nice but it's hot, noisy, crowded and the management is incredibly unhelpful. They'd rather get rid of the old tenants to make way for new ones who will pay higher rents. I lived here four years--every time I need something (maintenance, lease renewal terms etc) it has taken three or four phone calls and weeks of waiting. Save yourself the trouble and live somewhere else. I rented from fall '04 through spring '08. ...
