When I first moved into Madison at the Woodlands, I thought it would be a nice apartment complex in a good neighborhood. Boy was I mistaken. This place is a stone's throw away from the bad area of town and criminals come here all the time to break into
people's houses or cars. While I was here there were numerous break-ins and the office doesn't care or help people deal with these issues. There are rude office assistants like Tamara - she will do anything to sweep problems under the rug and lie to the tenants. The apartments themselves are old and dirty (think water stains, dusty heating systems, paint peeling off cabinets). My first floor apartment also got tons of bugs and spraying for it did not help. They come in through the bathroom drain, through cracks under the doors, through the ceiling, God only knows from where else. For the rent I was paying here, it is definitely not worth it. Move closer to the Kansas side (while still east of State Line Rd.) and you will find better apartments.
I rented from fall 10 through summer 11.
