I have been here for 11 years. Things had been going well. Up until a few months ago. The maintenance and office staffs have become almost non-existent. A few months ago I submitted a service request for a couple of screens in the common area missing or ripped and the strike plate on the back door missing. I eventually called the office and was told that they were just seeing this request that had been submitted 16 days earlier. Even now the screens haven't been repaired. A couple of months ago we were notified that the township was going to be conducting an inspection for any repairs that need to be done and would have to be repaired within 5 days. About a week and a half later I received a notice that someone would be by on Monday or Tuesday between 9-4. At 3:45 on Tuesday someone came by to do the repairs. He replaced the bathroom fan but wasn't able to repair a door frame. I was told I would be contacted in a few days to schedule the repair. Two weeks later I received a call at 9:00 from maintenance that would be there at noon to repair the door frame. The reinspection was scheduled that same day. Nobody showed up to do the work. Another inspection had to be scheduled. On Friday, March 29 I received a call from maintenance saying that his guys had been by my apartment and the chain was on the door. He didn't care that I wasn't given the required notice before his guys tried to illegally enter my apartment. The door was repaired later that day. On Monday another notice was placed on my door that the repairs would be completed on Tuesday or Wednesday. Tuesday I called the office to tell them the repairs were done. The maintenance supervisor said that he just wanted to make sure his guys did the job correctly. When I told the office worker the door had been painted I was rudely told "He will take your word THIS TIME!" When the township inspector and the McKinley employees showed up they tried to enter my apartment without knocking. They both refused to show proper identification and give me their supervisors names and numbers. The office rarely answers the phone and maintenance doesn't always read service requests. Just like other reviews are saying the doors are always being tampered with. There is a constant smell of tobacco and marijuana in the hallways. There are always abandoned cars in the parking lot for months at a time. It takes 4-5 calls to the office before someone answers and they have a poor attitude. They say they will follow up on your concerns but they rarely do. ...
