In the "newer" Liriope complex 1301, heat pump went up three times, third time they finally replaced the unit; I was put on a non-emergency list every time to get it fixed. Smoke came out of the entry light fixture every time the switch came on, blew out light bulbs; I stopped putting bulbs in and turning the light on in general. Counter tops were in poor condition. Parking was atrocious, and I frequently had to park on the side of the lot (on the grass) all management would do is post notices on the door. Someone kept breaking our front entry door and management threatened to charge everyone if it occurred again. Someone spilled a milkshake in the stairwell and management did nothing to clean it up even after it soured; renters cleaned it up. Neighbor next door would blast stereo; neighbor below would complain about thumping when walking. At my end-of-lease walkthough, the lease manager found every little scratch and scuff with the place and wrote it down; they will do whatever they can to keep your deposit and then some. When confronted about the nit-picking, she was shrewd and mono-toned; not friendly. When we came back into her lease office, she was polite, and normal-toned; obviously due to the potential renters in the lobby. Beware their "friendly" facade. The gym is a a shy bigger than a closet, with minimal equipment, and as far as I could tell not airconditioned. Rent pricing is horrid; water bill kept going up steadily even for a single guy who takes 5 minute speed-showers. No reason provided. All communication is apparently done through letters in your door. If someone decides to play a prank and take the letters, you're not notified. Yet all communication to the office must be done by letter and certified mail; e-mails will not suffice. Also, Belcamp is slowly becoming a spot for individuals affiliated with gangs and drug dealing; in particular the early a.m. patrons at the waffle house in riverside shopping center. Off duty police stand in the doorway there now. Although no theft of my vehicle ever occurred, Belcamp statistically is known to have a higher risk of car theft than other locations further north in Harford County.
