Quarrystone stands as a testament to broken promises and horrific mismanagement. What was a welcoming and worthwhile community 6 years ago has degraded to the point where it can't justify even half the cost. I can not emphasize this enough. DO. NOT. RENT. HERE. The elevators are constantly breaking, including handicapped accessible ones, in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the hallways are filthy and unmaintained, flooded apartments due to broken water heaters, multiple consistently broken appliances, and they illegally now charge deposits for the use of amenities when no such deposit fee is listed in the lease. And an ATTEMPTED MURDER IN THE BUILDING: https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/man-charged-in-malden-shooting-that-left-woman-fighting-for-her-life/3072149/ And worst of all is their utter inability to enforce the rules of the community. On no less than 3 occasions we have had to contact Malden City Police to deal with disruptive neighbors who allow their children to run wild in the apartment as late as 2am on a work night. They refuse to address this, simply telling us to "call the police" and that there's "a process". A process that's gone no where. It's gotten so bad that I am in the process of either seeking a court order to compel them to actually address this, or to break our lease and sue Quarrystone for moving expenses. A simple walk around the building in the evening will show half the units darkened and empty without lights on, and it's very clear this building is deeply struggling to maintain even a modest occupancy and it's no wonder why. One star is too generous, and I only give that because it's literally the lowest review I could give. Words can not express how much you do not want to live here. For what it costs you have far, far, far better options. ...
