I began renting the apartment in May 2012. Before I came here, I exchanged email with Ambera Brown and was told that she would have a furnished apartment in the front of the complex on the first floor ready for my occupancy upon my arrival in May for US$699 per month. I informed her that I would be needing the apartment for summer and fall 2012 semesters. I asked if I could bring my toy Yorkie. She told me to go online and sign a lease for the summer semester, pay the deposit, and that I could sign a lease for the fall semester when I arrived. I asked her if there would be any problem with my plans to return to New Mexico at the end of the fall semester. She assured me that there would be no problem. Four weeks later, I again contacted Ambera Brown via email because I wanted to pay the first month rent and the pet deposit before leaving New Mexico. She set up a portal for me and I immediately paid both first month rent of US$699 and pet deposit of US$300 in April 2012. After traveling across country with my 13 year old daughter and Yorkie in the car I arrived in New Orleans only to be told that my apartment was not ready for occupancy as had been promised and that Ambera Brown was β€œnot available” to speak with me and that I would have to make other arrangements for accommodation until they were ready. After two days of paying for a hotel, a woman named Eileen told me that my apartment was ready. It was not the apartment that I had signed the lease for. It was not in the front. It was in the rear. It was not furnished and there were large holes in the Sheetrock along the baseboard as well as paint in the sink. When I told her that this was not acceptable, she told me that the only other apartment that was available was a two bedroom on the third floor at the back of the complex for US$1198 per month. Even though I had been told that I would be able to sign a summer and then a fall semester lease, you told me that I had to sign a full academic year lease to stay past August. Even though you had made misrepresentation vie email and the phone, you would not let me out of the summer lease to seek other apartment accommodation. I signed the lease for the two bedroom under duress due to your representative's misrepresentation since I had no other option. Even though I was told that I could bring the Yorkie, I was told when I got here that I could only keep her until August. My husband had to purchase a plane ticket and fly down to get the Yorkie. Within the past month there has been an assault and robbery and that concerns me about safety in the gated community. I rented from summer 11 through fall 11. ...

Highly overrated. It is pretty on the outside, but the apartments are crappy. Old carpet, old appliances, molding does not match and wood is broken. Horrible management that is very unhelpful. Constant noise from parties that last till 5 in the morning on a school night. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! I rented from fall '07 through summer '08. ...
