Living in the Oaks is way cheaper than living in the dorms even the shared dorms.Its mainly cheaper because you do not have to get a meal plan you don't have to shell out 1000 and something dollars. I get the commuter/voluntary meal pan thats $300 cub cash because the cafeteria food is most of the time not good and the to-go box situation is retarded. The oaks rooms are lovely my bed room is a great size, its a little bit smaller than a shared room in the dorms and way bigger than a private which is what I came from my freshman year. The carpets of course is not the best, they are some stains but its not horrible. Not every apartment size the same when it comes to how tidy or clean your room may be. Remember you gotta think about who stayed there before you. They did put in new desk and dressers and I think they have always had mirror closets. The mirror closets are awesome, it is so spacious I love it!!! the beds have skinny legs and no headboard so I got bed risers from big lots for $5 because I felt like it was to low to the ground also I kind of got into the habit of having certain things under my bed from living in the dorm lol. I stay in the four bedroom apt by the way which is the same as the two bedroom apt with out two extra rooms and we have kitchen that comes with everything you'll need fridge, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal , stove and ext. The living room comes furnished with a table, 4 chairs, a couch, and lazy boy that doesn't recline, a coffee table and a media table thats connected to the wall so you can put your tv on it if you want to. I didn't I need a tv in my room my roommate put hers there though. lastly the bathroom is nice it has a cabinets to store whatever and another cabinet obviously under the sink the tub does not have shelves to place shampoo and ect so I bought the hanging one that you could put over the shower spay for $1 and dollar tree. leave comments or questions I'll check this after a month. BTW I stayed here FAll 2014 .... It wouldn't let me put that for "when I rented" I rented from fall 10 through spring 11. ...
