I will be living at Oakbrook for almost 2 years now and have re-signed my lease for another year. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. This is a great location and price as it can be difficult to find something like this near LSU. It is also on one of the bus routes. I have been living in a 4 bedroom 4 1/2 bath apartment for both years now. It is very spacious for it being this many rooms. All of the rooms have ensuite bathrooms and a HUGE walk in closet. They also have nice amenities including two pools and 24 hour gym. The staff routinely holds different activities/food events which is nice to see them involved with their tenants. ...

management sucks, terrible maintenance, disgustingly dirty, bug infested, a/c and dishwasher broke, charge for anything and everything so don't expect your deposit back

Let me preface that I've only been here for two months, yet in that time the internet has worked intermittently, the A/C has had numerous problems, I've had water on my floor several different times from several different locations and the place smells like mildew no matter what I do. So, usually, if there are problems like these, call maintenance, right? For my first A/C problem, I go to the office to tell them about it, the maintenance guy is right there. His response: "It was working yesterday!" He then proceeds to continue his donut breakfast. A few hours later I had to go back to remind him that things change and air conditioners stop working. As of right now I'm waiting to have a bad leak looked at. It's been THREE days and still no response. I'm going through all of my towels soaking up water that's seeping from underneath the dishwasher for no apparent reason. The staff here is no help, the maintenance is a joke and the price is ridiculous. I was paying the same rent for a place three times as big as what I have now. Wish someone had informed me that this place was just a polished turd. Looks nice, but it ain't. I rented from fall '07 through fall '08. ...
