Welcome to Wheeler Lofts in the heart of Fountain Square, where history meets modern luxury. Originally the Wheeler Carburetor Company, and formerly the thriving Wheeler Arts community, this iconic building has been transformed into fabulous apartments by Core Redevelopment.

Good luck getting ahold of anyone that even works in the building. Core Redevelopment is the worst leasing office and no one is ever available to help with anything. There’s always some kind of disturbance going on upstairs and the walls are so thin, you can hear everything. I’ve called for help with multiple issues and never got a response to any of the messages I had to leave. The email address listed on the main website is not a real address and bounces back. Don’t waste your time or money. ...

I don’t even know where to start with how awful this place is. From the moment I moved in, I’ve regretted my decision. The management is completely unprofessional and unresponsive — it took weeks to get someone to fix a simple plumbing issue, and when they finally came, they didn't knock or anything - they just walked in and I just got out of the shower NAKED. That was embarrassing. Then after they left a mess behind. Not to mention, the leasing staff was very RUDE. Also, the walls are paper-thin, and I can hear everything my neighbors do, from their conversations to their pets barking at all hours of the night. Parking is a nightmare. There are never enough spots, and when there is one, it’s usually blocked by someone who thinks they own the entire lot. I’ve had to park miles away from my apartment on more than one occasion. The amenities they boast about are either broken or useless. The gym equipment is old and rarely maintained. Not to mention, the rent keeps going up, and for what? The only thing that’s consistent here is the disappointment. The entire building smells like stale cigarettes & cat piss, and the hallways are dark and unsafe. I honestly feel like I'm living in a run-down motel. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. ...
