The apartments are run down and dated. Many of them have issues such as leaking pipes, stained carpet, etc. Not the best area, someone was robbed at gunpoint a couple of months ago and had her car stolen. A few homeless looking people also can be seen walking around and digging in the dumpsters. The owner is not the best. Not willing to help residents out at all. Basically if anything happens to your stuff it's on you. He shows no remorse or sympathy - our building burnt down in a fire due to faulty wiring and no firewalls. Wasn't even offered any sort of free laundry or dry cleaning to clothes damaged by all the smoke. The rich get richer.... I rented from fall 2017 through winter 2019. ...

I lived here for 3 years 2010-2013. I loved it here. I had no issues at all and would gladly be living here again if it wasn't for the price. But you do get what you pay for. I lived in the newer apartments and lived in the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. The management was great, I never has any problems with them. I was never lied to and never felt cheated. I guess it boils down to this: If you follow the rules stated within the lease and be respectful you will be treated fairly. ...

I've lived here since July 07 (7 months) and I HATE it. I think the landlord, Jonah, is very manipulative. The "example" apartment that she shows you is MUCH nicer than the actual apartments. The walls here are paper thin. I can even hear my neighbors cell phone ring. There is a no pet policy, which is very inconvenient. The appliances are very outdated and sound awful. I can't warn you enough about the landlord though. She comes across very sweet and nice when you act interested, but once you sign the lease, she is very rude and unprofessional. The laundry facilities were a very plus when moving here but they don't work well at ALL! I have to go to the laundry mat everytime I want to do laundry. It takes 3 times to get my clothes dry. I do not recommend this facility I rented from summer '07 through summer '08. ...

I was extremely disappointed with the Sycamore Place Apartments. The landlord (Jonah) is a bitc* in almost every aspect she could be. I was actually accused of breaking my door when it failed to open one day and had to crawl out the window to go tell maintenance. She holds ridiculous prejudices against college students, so don't even think about getting your deposit back. I tried my best to keep our apartment as clean as possible, actually being dubbed an asshole about it, and received only 100 dollars of our 600 dollar deposit back. This place basically makes money off of screwing the students in which she "supports". The pool is only open until 5:00 PM, conveniently closing when she leaves the office making it useless for people who work or have class during the day (not to mention the pool is the size of my bedroom). At one time my shower broke making it only work for baths, in which we reported on a friday and was deemed not important enough to fix until monday, which turned into thursday of the following week. Overall, I would say go to the UV's. Maria is great, and even if you will lose a lot of your deposit here as well, at least you won't have to deal with the B.S. that I had to and am still dealing with the Sycamore Place Apartments. I rented from fall '06 through summer '07. ...
