Fleischhauer used to own the building, but sold it to South Street LLC, who likes to sue students when they break their leases. Never mind that they fail to address substantive problems in the building. Problems that compromise livability! Don't be fooled by South Street. They are a new player in town, but they bring with them old line, strong arm tactics, raising rates in all of their newly acquired but poorly maintained properties. And they have an lawyer on retainer to sue those pesky students who make the mistake of moving out when they are unsuccessful in getting ownership to remedy problems. We notified management repeatedly of a HVAC problems, neighboring noise and smoke, as well illegal behavior on the part of an immediate neighbor....al to no avail.... We'll probably lose in court....but will fight on principle. I rented from fall '08 through summer '09. ...
