I was a resident of indian woods apts. for a year. My lease was up in January, So at the beginning of Jan I gave them a 30day notice just like any other apartment complex requires. I was then informed that they needed a 60 day notice and that I would be charged an extra month. I was moving at the end of Jan but had to pay Feb rent plus and extra $100 because the lease states that it automatically goes to month to month basis without consent or notice. I told the manager I was not going to be able to pay the full amount and she said that was fine that she would bill me. Therefore, I was paying for the aprt until the end of Feb. At the end of Jan I moved upstate. I was called and told that if i did not send in my keys for the apartment I was going to be charged an eviction notice. but I had already put in my notice that i was leaving why would she evict me? But I had the apartment until the end of Feb. I was very confused why do I have to give her my keys if i had the apt until the end of Feb. after I sent her the keys like she said, I was sent a letter with late fees for not paying rent??!! I had already moved and was never given any kind of notice or bill or call stating that i owed. and she said she would bill me. so now I owe well over $1000 for trying to move out of these assortments! good luck will leaving. They are nice when you're there but once you decide to move ... your wallet better be stocked. oh and its very noisy which i called and complained but nothing was done.... still noisy. I rented from winter '09 through fall '09. ...
