DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS BUILDING!!! I donโ€™t care how much the price appeals to you, you will regret it. Letโ€™s start off by saying that my realtor told me that water, sewer and heating gas were included in the rent, yet when I was looking over my lease I found that not a single utility was covered. At this point it was going to be impossible to find a new place in time so I felt forced to except this. I made it known to Fishman & Co. that my realtor was misinformed immediately, however, Iโ€™ve over heard realtors in the last few weeks telling new perspective tenants the same things I was told, which are false. NO UTILITIES ARE COVERED AND THERE IS A PET FEE OF $350!!! Hereโ€™s a list of some of the issues I had at this building: -They did not allow me to move in until the 6th of October 2022 because they needed to clean and paint, even though my lease began on the 1st and I was still charged for the days I was forced to wait. -They are now pushing me to be out by noon on the 30th of Sept 2023, even though my new apartment wonโ€™t be ready for move in until the 1st, by THREATENING to charge me $150/hour past their set time. That would come out to $3750 for 24 hours. -They put my apartment on the market before the last 30 days of my lease without attempting to contact me about it. -The building manager has ignored my texts ever since he BROKE my AC during installation, for which they charge $50/unit for your own or $250 to rent. -Building manager drilled unfixable holes into the metal window frames to support the AC units. -The laundry room and machines are infested with COCKROACHES. -I saw a COCKROACH in my apartment for the first time last week so theyโ€™ve infested everywhere yet Iโ€™ve seen no measures being done to control them. -GNATS took over the building all summer and now the hallways are scattered with dead bugs. Again no measures taken to control them. -The hot water in the shower stops working if anyone above or below me turns theirs on. -Bathtub/shower is poorly caulked, peeling and completely missing in places that are necessary to keep water from getting inside the walls (i.e. around the faucet and spigots). -Tiles in bathroom were laid unevenly so they shift and the grout between them has broken up causing large cracks. This likely means there is water damage and/or MOLD on the subfloor. The shower grows MOLD if not wiped down and aired out with open windows. -The residents pay for the heating in the winter, yet it was on rarely and seemingly only when i was below 40 degrees. This required me to use electric heaters to feel comfortable which only cost me more. -The window sills have cracks all around them and are extremely drafty in the winter. -I had my peephole replaced and the workers cracked the door yet made no attempt to repair it. -The entire first floor hallway smells strongly of urine/mildew. -All the hallways are FILTHY and have not been cleaned since they did some half-assed renovations a few months ago. -The first floor elevator door was painted during renovations, but coated so thickly itโ€™s hard to open and close. It also gets stuck slightly open causing the elevator to stop. -We had a package thief ripping open every single package in the lobby. Management took weeks to do anything about it and their fix was to add a shelf for the mail in a separate part of the lobby. This is just all that comes to mind at the moment, Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™ll think of more to add. Iโ€™ll say again, DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS BUILDING OR ANY OTHER BUILDING MANAGED BY FISHMAN & CO. ...
