The 1-bedroom I rented for three years was clean and had a good layout. The complex rents to lots of graduate students, and it's a great place for upperclassmen who are tired of living in a drunken monkey house near Campustown bars. The building is secured with locked doors and a system to buzz in people you know. It's a very quiet place to live, which is great for serious students who want to live as real adults. I moved out only because the rent was climbing too high. If you can afford it, it's worth it. I rate the location as excellent because I appreciate a quiet, low-key complex that is right on the red bus route. I rated social life lower than average because there really isn't any socializing among tenants. I can't say it's poor, though, because that is exactly what I was looking for. It's a matter of taste. If you want a clean, safe, quiet environment, HIckory Ridge is the place for you. If you want a vomitorium to stumble back to at night in a drunken stupor, try Campustown Property Management or something. ...
