We have lived in seven apartments in last 15 years and they are the worst landlord. If you have tons of money and you want to give it away, you can rent at Northgate apartments at Ely. We have never had our deposit deducted in any by any landlord before. They took more than half of our deposit. Whenever you will move out, they will paint the whole apartment and deduct your deposit. They will charge you for anything you can imagine and can’t imagine. They don’t have any auto payment options and couple of our neighbors told me that they were penalized for late payment even if the rent was paid after the business hours on the due date. And they charge highest penalty in Iowa. Rudeness would be an understatement of their behavior. They entered in to our apartment the day before our move-out day without notifying us. They will fix anything only if that is easily fixable. We had to deal with a dishwasher that doesn’t clean dishes for 6 months and we decided to leave the place. Why?
