Town Park Crossing was nice when I moved in, but things have sure gone downhill. They can’t seem to keep office staff. The women in the office are rude and un professional. I had the worst experience ever on my move out/walk through. I spent weeks cleaning the apartment, patching the walls, etc. They were like did you even clean. They nitpicked every little thing. I lived in this apartment for over five years…it’s called normal wear and tear. Yes there were a few stains on the carpet. It wasn’t even new when I moved in and they wanted to charge to replace all of it. I would not recommend anyone to Town Park Crossing. They do zero maintenance. If you have a problem you better like waiting. They did not maintain the outside of the buildings, do landscaping, never changed the filters, trash area was gross and totally unsanitary, pools was frequently broken and dirty, list goes on. Trust me you will regret it if you move in. I rented from spring '01 through fall '09. ...

I lived at townpark crossing for over 2 years. During this time we had a number of maintenance/management issues including stove malfunctions, ac going in and out, and electrical issues, broken workout equipment, and a lost rent payment. Only the stove issue was ever addressed. The month they lost our rent payment from the drop box and threatened us with litigation (they already had a court date set up and everything), without even contacting us to let us know there was an issue. I had to set an appointment with management who actually admitted that she was new and didn't know what was going on. That's another issue, management, but we'll get to that in a second. She benevolently (sarcasm intended) allowed me to write another check so that they could stop the legal proceedings since we had never missed a payment. Oh, and i also had the privilege of canceling my previous check and paying the 28 dollar cancellation fee which they refused to reimburse me for since I used the dropbox and they never found the check. So, back to management, this place is ridiculous how often they swap out their management staff. Apparently, the Steven Bell management company likes to promote from within (that's what they tell residents anyways). That's great, except for the fact that this seems to happen about once every three to five months. So don't try to come to management about any long standing issues (which most will be since they are so inefficient at addressing them). As you see from my above experience I was very lucky to have a reasonable property management replacement as they were threatening to make me pay the market rate for the previous 22 months that I lived there due to late payment when they lost the check. The exercise equipment was decent when I first moved in in 2006, but after about 4 months there was some serious maintenance issues on the lateral pull down the leg press and the curl machine. I requested that the management do something about it as these are hazards and also make it difficult to actually use the amenities you are paying for. They would always say that they would order the replacement parts and get maintenance on it. I finally gave up after three months of repeatedly requesting this. I even took pictures and forwarded them to the management as they claimed that they could find nothing wrong with the equipment on inspection. There were a couple of times I say them giving potential residents a tour of the exercise area and noticed how they would purposely stay away from the damaged equipment or simply put our of order signs on them and say that they were being repaired. That's crap! After 8 months the equipment was still not repaired so I finally bought a gym membership for myself. To top off my wonderful experience with TownPark Crossing I was treated to a collection notice at my new house about 5 months after moving out of the apartment. They claimed that I left the apartment in shambles and it required extensive cleaning. That's complete BS!! I spent two days cleaning up the apartment after we had moved our stuff out two weeks in advance. I scrubbed, bleached, degreased, swept, and vacuumed that place from top to bottom. I even replaced all of the lights as requested to avoid any unnecessary charges. I spackled over all holes in walls and did touch up painting where needed. The refrigerator was completely emptied and scrubbed down. When I called to dispute this with the management I was greeted with the fact that they found cigarette ashes in the sink, a dirty refrigerator, and a greasy stove. All of this is a lie. We don't smoke, I bleached out the refrigerator, and I degreased the stove. I spent over thirty dollars on cleaning/touch up supplies just to avoid being charged for something like this. I had originally wanted to go through the walk through with the staff there, but when I asked they said they weren't sure when it was going to be scheduled but it would be within the next two weeks and they would call me. I impressed upon them that I was moving out of town in two weeks. Big surprise!!! I never got a call and was never told that they found anything out of the ordinary. I made sure that I did everything on the list that they gave me for checkout. So, after they took my one hundred dollar deposit they sent me a bill for another two hundred some odd dollars, 80 of which they claim is for water. Please... we never had an 80 dollar water bill the entire time we lived there. So best case scenario they just charged me 220 dollars for no freaking reason. Do yourself a huge favor, don't move in to this place unless you are ready to deal with poor management, amenities you can’t use, scandalous move out practices, and a collection mark on your credit report. I rented from winter '06 through spring '08. ...
