Not very a very great experience, lived here for a year and it was crappy. The maintenance sucked, the roommates I was assigned weren't very clean and overall the experience was just unpleasant. Not to mention that the gate never works

You get what you pay for, it's as simple as that. Don't expect a qualitative experience if you're not willing to pay for it. Living here was convenient for me, geographically and financially. I personally moved out because of my unclean roommates, and I just can't stand roommates in general. I've had no problems with the leasing staff and things are fixed in timely manner, granted everything is cheap quality and breaks all the time which should be expected. The most serious problems I've had was mold growing on the ceiling from a leak upstairs that the idiots who lived there never reported, so I had to once I noticed it, and the fact that there aren't sufficient street lights because there can be some shady people walking around the parking lot at night. But luckily, I haven't had any issues with safety, just be very weary of your surroundings. I rented from winter '09 through summer 11. ...

I personally have had a good experience at The Pointe. This is my 2nd year living here and I haven't had any major problems. Of course, there's always minor maintenance issues, but my requests are usually fulfilled within a few days. The office staff is nice and they always help me. The CA's do the best that they can and are very informative. There's ALWAYS a flyer on my door about something. However, Marc is my favorite person on the staff ;). I would encourage my fellow students to live here because it is affordable and very close to USF. The shuttle and city bus are easy access. It takes about 5 minutes to get everywhere you need to go whether it be the mall, Wal-Mart or the grocery store. Thumbs up for me! I rented from fall '07 through spring '08. ...

Apparently the regional manager of The Pointe wants the CA's to write something good about The Pointe to boost the ratings, however, don't listen to any of them. When I lived there with my fiancé move in time was 12:00 noon that got pushed back to 3:00. We arrive at 4:00ish, they have just started and told us to come back at 6:00. Umm no! Anyway, our air was broken for two weeks from the day we moved in, our microwave, disposal, and bathroom sink did not work. Maintenance is a huge joke on the property. I am not ever sure why they have them. It takes them FOREVER to get one thing done. All they do is ride around in golf carts. Our friend got towed, because the office staff does not even know where visitor parking is. They told us it was the perimeter of the entire complex and when we went to management we got called liars on top of it, we got back billed for electric because apparently we "pay to early" and they do not have all the bills distributed by the time payment was due. Also, we had noisy neighbors who would play their music till 2:00 in the morning during the summer. They do have security, which one guy is really cool and does a great job, while the other one falls asleep and is a huge joke. Don’t worry about having your parents try to talk to office staff, they too will get treated like they are 18 years old. This was the old manager Samples who I am referring to. On move out day, the backside of our apartment caught on fire. So not only were we trying to move out, we were contending with a fire. If it wasn’t for the now “ex-property manager” Andrew, we would have had the worst experience ever. He actually only charged us half rent and told us not to worry about cleaning the apartment before we left. So, the regional manager has no clue what is going on. She is trying to take care of things in another state which will never work, plus with all the stuff that is wrong at The Pointe, you can’t just fix that within a couple months. I rented from summer '07 through winter '08. ...

One of the worst apartment managements I have ever had to deal with. My address was changed without my knowledge and it took them almost 5 hours on move in day to figure out where my roommates and I were supposed to be. When we moved in, our apartment was crawling with cockroaches and all of the table tops were covering in some kind of sticky grime. The bathrooms were full of rust and our washing machine and refrigerator both have leaks. After about 4 months of filling out work orders, nobody ever bothered to come out and fix our appliances. I have lived here for about 4 months and have had nothing but problems. My apartment is full of mold, all 4 of us tenants living here are sick, and after about 15 work orders, we gave up and called the health department, hopefully that will make them finally do something. I definitely DO NOT recommend living here. I rented from fall '08 through fall '08. ...
