Knights Circle has its ups an downs but for the most part it is a cool place to live. I rented from fall '09 through summer 11.

First read this article in the Orlando Sentinel: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/features/education/os-ucf-mold-apartments-pegasus-landin20110429,0,2282278.story And then understand that the mold problems ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE! A pretty coat of paint doesn't kill the mold it just covers it. They did not tear out the drywall and so their problem is not fixed at all simply covered to look nice. This is the worst place I've ever lived in my life and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I rented from fall 10 through spring 11. ...

Management here is TERRIBLE. I really didn't think I'd ever have to deal with this kind of thing. They just notified me that I have 3 weeks to move out of my apartment into my neighbors. My roommate and I are getting separated and I suspect the only reason they are renovating our current apartment is due to mold. Right now I'm fighting to get released from my lease, but it is nearly impossible. Security is horrific, the guards have never checked any of my guests and there was an attempted abduction yards from my door two weeks after I had moved in. I rented from fall 10 through fall 10. ...

Pegasus Landing has gotten a lot of bad press at the beginning of this year because of the mold, and they are doing a poor job redeeming themselves. Pros: The Location, shuttle and no utility cap. Cons:Between the moldy apartments and spotty maintenance, PL is starting to lose their touch. UCF is no longer recommending them to incoming students because of the health concerns. I would not recommend it to anyone either. Many of the 1st floor rooms have bugs. It took 3 weeks for maintenance to fix our many problems when we moved in, including a crack in my roommate's bedroom that was letting in ants, a ceiling fan that shook violently when turned on, a leaky fridge, a broken door lock, and a broken stove. There was mildew covering the inside of the dishwasher when I moved in that I ended up cleaning since they wouldn't. If you still plan on living here make sure you go over the lease very carefully and be sure you are OK with them relocating you when ever they want. I got a letter on my door saying that I was being relocated because of a "Master Plan" for renovation. I'm Halfway through the semester and they expect me to move to a room on the other side of the complex! I'm also being separated from my roommates that I know and getting put in to fill an empty room! When I went into the office to find out my options, they told me there was nothing they could do! I see a lot of empty apartments around and I doubt they are as "tight" as they say. At least parking is not an issue since there are a lot fewer people living here. They are basically trying to entice people with the no electricity cap. It is not worth it though. I advise you to look somewhere else to live and not make the same mistake I did. I rented from fall 10 through fall 11. ...

My daughter lived here the entire time she was at UCF. I was very happy with the apt--clean, maintenance issues were few (and dealt with immediately), and overages were minimal (appears that has changed recently). We heard crime was an issue, but she never personally experienced any problems. The shuttle helped immensely during times of car breakdowns and the patrolling by police provided some peace of mind. We also liked having a washer and dryer in the apt so she didn't have to worry about taking her clothes anywhere and the kitchen was nice so she could cook her own meals---MUCH cheaper than a meal plan! Would highly recommend the place. I rented from fall '06 through summer '09. ...

Pros: The shuttle is great and very convenient, private room and bathroom, close to campus, maintenance is not that bad, cable/internet included, weight room and pool. Cons: Way more expensive than renting a house with friends, overages are insane and have recently gotten worse (I moved in 2006, we got maybe a 10-15$ overage every 3 months, now in 2010 we get a 10-25$ overage EVERY month, including December, when the apartment was empty for 3 weeks), crime is supposedly bad, however I've had no problems personally, random roommate matching (if you don't have friends to move in with you) Overall: not really worth the price that you pay. 515-545$ for a 4/4 (more for a 3/3 or 2/2) plus complete BS overages that seem to come from nowhere means you'll pay close to $550+. You can easily find a room to rent in a house in the 300-450$ range. If they dropped the price under 500$ and stopped with the overages, I'd say go for it, but until then keep looking. This place was miserable. I've been here one month and so far have had to combat a broken A/C (fixed promptly), a broken dryer that didn't dry and tore up clothes(fought with them for 2 and 1/2 weeks), broken kitchen light (fought 3 weeks), told me my bike had to go out in the rain, would not let me PAY to remove bug infestation from apartment; said I had to wait a WEEK. Refused a parking decal for car I have power of attorney over. Manager REFUSED to meet with me multiple times. Will not be renting here next year!! I rented from summer '09 through fall '09. ...

As for the negative posting, no one in Pegasus Landing shares a bedroom. If you lived here you would know that. If something breaks like your AC they will fix it ASAP if its in the Summer. If it is the winter, then you are really not that special. There was a bad rap before the gates/guards got here. Now security is amazing. The only problem we have here are people that hate the pace, like that post. Those arenormally the people that probally should not have gone to college, and will wind up flipping burgers. -VJD I rented from fall '07 through summer '08. ...

this appartment is terrible do not move here the other two posts are prob employees. you get billed for junk for no reason and the place is rediculous. Constant car break ins and now they installed a gate, so it looks like a prison. There are a bunch of fruitcakes that are also students that work there and they dont care about you or any problems you may be having. If your AC breaks it could take weeks for them to fix. Do not move in to these apptmnts. I rented from fall '05 through fall '07. ...

Apartments and appliances are a bit old. Bathroom was recaulked over mold so parts of the shower and tub is permanently black. Management is established and very organized. Work order response is excellent. Call in to get something fixed and they will come the next day if not the day of. Someone on staff 24hrs. My apartment was impeccable when I moved in. They did a good job of cleaning. Rooms are bigger than a lot of other apartments. But kitchen is tiny with not a lot of storage. The best shuttle system out of all apartments to UCF. Most of the times you don't need to wait more than 10 minutes, but at night you might have to wait 20-25. RA's in each building. I didn't have many problems with noise complaints. After moving to Connection, I have a great respect for Landing. Crime seems to be an issue, but I never felt unsafe. Just use common sense. This is a great place to live. I love Pegasus Landing! I've lived here for 3 years now and I wish I didn't have to move out when I graduate! I moved in as a freshman because I wanted to be close to the campus and this is as close as it gets! They even have a shuttle that comes through every 15 minutes to drop us off at school. I love UCF but their parking sucks, so it's nice not having to deal with it! The office staff has always been really friendly and make me feel welocme. I haven't had many maintenance issues, but they've always come right out whenever we did! I didn't know my roommates before moving in, but I still live with 2 of them (now my best friends) so the roommate matching part works! There are always lots of events and activities to go to, which is nice if you don't know anyone. Also, they normally have free food at the events, which is always helpful if you're a poor college kid like me! They also have UCF police patrolling all the time and the offices are open 24 hrs so you know there is always someone available if you need help. There are lots of crappy places to live around UCF and crime is becoming an issue at a lot of places, so save yourself the time, hassle, and $$$ and move to Pegasus Landing!
