I would not recommend this building to anyone. The management is surly and uninformative, and the units, while spacious, are in disrepair. The cheap cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom, for example, have been painted so many times that we cannot open half of them. More importantly, after seeing numerous roaches and catching one mouse, I've repeatedly asked management to send an exterminator; management has not, however, returned my voicemails or emails, nor have they sent an exterminator (office hours are 9-5 weekdays, so it is impossible to catch them in person if you have a 9-5 job). This is characteristic of the disdain with which they treat their residents. It's also characteristic of the roach problem. In addition, the apartments are undergoing renovation to install central air. My unit is finished, but most of the building is not. I would not even consider moving into the building until the entire process is finished. The renovation in my apartment took 5 weeks, during which time construction workers were in and out of my unit every day from 8:30 to 4:30. The entire apartment was constantly covered in dust, and our furniture was often left piled in the middle of the room. Management did little to provide security; although a highschool child supposedly guarded the apartments being worked on, there was little actual safety. More than once I came home to find our apartment unlocked and no-one inside the unit or standing guard in the hall. In the meantime, the construction has shaken loose extra rodents and roaches. There have been gaping holes in the lobby ceiling and along the lower entry's ceiling. Although the walls seem thick, we can hear music from 3 different apartments, as well as the footsteps and dropped pens of the people above us. For the price of these units, there are much, much better apartments available in the area. I rented from spring '07 through summer '08. ...
