This apartment complex was a very nice place 5 years ago until up reality took over. Since then everything went downhill. They installed hardwood flooring which was completely horrible since you can hear everything, not to mention you can feel the heat from the washer and dryer that they installed into new units. We once had a cleaning crew that once came here Monday- Friday they were good at their job since the place was clean including the laundry room. Now since upreality took over there is NO cleaning crew here. Laundry room is NOW dirty and nasty, there was a creamer left in the laundry room for weeks flies started appearing until two of the tenants here at the time cleaned the laundry room. We also once had a property manager on site named Karen she used to be here every day of the week. ( she managed the place very well) now there is literally nobody there on site. Doors are constantly left open and not shut. There is no dogs allowed here and someone had a dog here. our cats ending up getting fleas from whoever had the dog in their unit. Nothing was done about this matter ending up paying out of pocket to get rid of the fleas which was not cheap. Neighbors were rude had no respect for people who have to get up early and go to work/ school. Noise level was off the walls between 11pm-4 am. People also tend to hit your cars with their car without a note of any kind. If there was any issues within people’s unit nobody would tend to your issue, by the way getting in touch with these people is nearly impossible they have their voice box full and you cant leave any more messages. The property manager we know little about and she is barley there. The pool was suppose to open last year and it was not opened at all. They also did a rent increase by $400 more so you were left with either paying that insane price increase just to hear noise or you would have to vacate your unit in a 30 day period if you don’t pay. If you’re looking to move into this place I would definitely look somewhere else. Do not move here!!! ...

The most disgusting complex that can exist. We live here for a month and are already breaking the lease agreement. The most noisy sound insulation I've ever seen. The neighbors are very noisy, they walk so loudly as if they were in our unit, repeatedly wrote and sent videos to the office to stop the noise in quiet time, but no one even reacted. There is also an office on the territory of the building, which is always closed. More than one clause of the contract is not observed, such as quiet time from 11:00 pm to 07:00 am and a ban on smoking weed on the territory of the complex. I was so happy to leave here. Been here over 10 years used to be really really nice. I was proud of living here. Thank God I left, they raised the rent so high that I couldn’t even afford to live here anymore over $400. The place is filthy. There’s no security, the security doors are always open by people who work remodeling the apartments. The security call box doesn’t work. Go on the Highland Ridge website you’ll see they advertise a lounge, a gym, a pool, which hasn’t been open for two years. New owners uptown Realty, Berry Equities, no on-site management. ...

I just took a video, unfortunately, you can’t upload a video garbage and all three floors all over the place. There is no cleaning crew and the maintenance person is worthless. Security doors are always left open by the crew who’s remodeling apartments. Garbage on every floor, dirty everything, their remodeling by taking carpets out of the common areas, installing the absolute most cheap Vinyl something I don’t know they don’t cut it right they don’t put it up. What a completely horrible place to live. Been here over 12 years. It was great at first and got worse and worse over the years. Not only that, but the rent goes up hundreds of dollars every year. Now we have brand new owners who carry even less than the previous owners they raise the rent $400. Common areas are dirty there’s no safety or security because the doors are always left. Open the security doors that is, on top of the intercom buzzing system doesn’t work either. Appliances break they don’t come and fix them. Takes a month to get someone’s attention when there’s a work order if they even come at all. Can’t wait for my lease to be up so I can get the hell out of here. ...

Been here over 10 years. Was really nice and clean and affordable at first! Little by little it’s gotten really bad! We have new owners, they don’t care! Nasty common areas, roaches, elevators don’t always work and neither does the buzzer. Security doors are always unlocked and open! Rugs are horrible and owners won’t replace. No on site office and when you put in a work order they very rarely ever come. Leaving this mess ASAP ...

I’ve lived here for 6 years and am moving soon. It was ok when I first moved in, but it gradually has been getting worse and VERY ghetto. There was a roach infestation in most of the building for several years. Exterminators came but the roaches would come back a couple weeks later. Earwig infestations. TWO fires in less than a year. Drug deals. Hoarders. This is all in building 3. Poor management. The manager is nice but doesn’t do much. Part of it is because she has to manage 3 buildings by herself. They don’t screen the people they rent to. Many of the renters don’t take care of their apartments and the common areas. It’s filthy most of the time. Garbage fills up the dumpster regularly so it’ll pile up on the ground outside the dumpster for days. Messes in the common areas take days to be cleaned and it takes weeks to fix damages. I don’t feel safe. Walls are thin. Loud neighbors. Frequent parties. The manager doesn’t do anything about any of this. My apartment always smells like pot from my neighbors. I can’t sleep some nights because they’re so loud. Rent has increased by hundreds in a couple years. Studios used to be around $700 and now they are close $1k just a few years later. The only significant improvements I’ve seen are new elevators, renovated pool area, and fresh paint on the walls and doors. These improvements are not worth the big rent increases. They do a poor job plowing the parking lots. There is only 1 visitor parking space for each building. They’ll tow visitors after 8pm. There is hardly any street parking so parking options are limited for visitors after 8pm. Car break-ins. The security cameras work but the quality and angles are so bad that there is no way to catch any thieves or vandals. Only 1 washer and 1 dryer on each floor and it’s expensive. It’s hard for me to think of any positives about this place. I can’t wait to move out. There are better options in Waterbury. ...

2/10 - I wouldn't recommend. Firstly, the apartment buildings are up on a hill off of I-84. If you are ok with driving up a winding hill during snowy and icy weather conditions, this isn't that much of a big deal. I will say the apartments are very spacious with plenty of closet/storage space. If you are looking for modern floor plans or appliances/cabinets, this is not it! The parking is slim to none. This is an apartment complex with 3 buildings. Each tenant is allowed ONE parking space in any of the three parking lots. There is ONE visitor parking space for THREE buildings. If you have 2 cars, or visitors, street parking it is. Extra cars and visitor cars must be removed from the parking lots after 8pm or they will be towed. Management does not care about anything you are dealing with in your apartment. They will offer NO potential resolution and they barely respond. You are on your own with any and all issues. There is a $25 maintenance fee per request. Common areas are kept clean, which is a plus. Overall this complex is extremely congested. Management is pisspoor. I said what I said. Again, 2/10. I would NOT recommend. Sign at your own risk. ...
