Our living conditions were horrendous. The large window next to the front door was busted with jagged edges for weeks, we had black mold after a water heater malfunction. Our 3rd Floor balcony was unsafe busted rotted boards (hubby stepped through on
Video), loose railings, our electrical outlets all are busted and plugs didn't stay in and blue sparks arch out of them. Busted, rusted and leaking dishwasher, took ten minutes for hot water if any was available. Pest control is a huge endemic issue. We had a severe roaches infestation (several types) and multiple mice. The list goes on... After reporting these issues to the property and regional office to no advail I contacted code enforcement who gave a notice to abate and the time has come and gone and still very few issues were fixed. The property management also conducts very shady accounting practices and over charge rent and other fees. They come and shake you down in person for money not billed or owed. They also retaliate when you report them. I was given an eviction notice, charged 262.00 in legal fees that they took out of the rent I already paid leaving past due rent when we over paid to begin with. Then given a court date which I WON only to come home from court to find a burglarized apartment. They also violated the fair housing act and refused to honor reasonable accommodations the day after granting it as part of me dropping my counter claim against the company. Then told me to move a week after that after a second violation. Colorado Springs maintains a online list of condemned properties and multiple addresses in this complex is on the list. So please learn from my mistake and do your research.
